Affleck's happy family makes J-Lo 'sick'

      London: One person not too happy with actor Ben Affleck's happy life with wife Jennifer Garner and new baby Violet, is his ex Jennifer Lopez, who apparently gets depressed seeing him with his family. And, Lopez, who is currently married to singer Marc Anthony, reportedly hates seeing Affleck playing happy family, that she's even said that the though of the trio "made her sick", according to British tabloid The Sun. Meanwhile, the 'Waiting For Tonight' singer had gossip mills running overtime with speculation that she is pregnant with her first child after she cancelled her world tour recently.

Superman curse: Routh not worried (Go To Top)

       Washington: New Superman actor Brandon Routh has said that he in no way feels intimidated by the notorious 'Superman curse'. The popular comic-strip character has seemingly been plagued by bad luck as well as a string of incidents affecting crew members. George Reeve, the original TV Superman, was shot dead at 45, while Christopher Reeve was paralysed in a riding accident before dying at the age of 52. However, Routh claims that he didn't even know about a curse, and is determined to ignore scaremongers. "Curse? What curse? I don't think in those terms. If something happens to me, I'll deal with it. I'm not going to worry about it," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

JFK flick 'Best Conspiracy Movie' of all time (Go To Top)

      London: Kennedy assassination thriller, JFK, which stars Kevin Costner and uses real life footage, has topped a poll to choose the 'Best Conspiracy Movie' of all time. According to The Sun, the Science fiction film, 'The Matrix,' in which Keanu Reeves's battles a robot plot to rule mankind, came in at second place on the list. The next three positions were taken by 'The Manchurian Candidate,' a film based on the malicious intentions to seize control of the White House, Watergate movie 'All The President's Men,' which was one of the most devastating detective stories ever made, and Will Smith starrer 'Enemy Of The State.'

French voted unfriendly, boring people (Go To Top)

      London: There is a bit of disappointing news for the folks of France, for according to a survey conducted by travel website WAYN - Where Are You Now, the French have been voted the world's most unfriendly, least generous, and boring people. "I had no idea the French would emerge as such an unfriendly country. I think our romantic moodiness is misunderstood," the Sun quoted WAYN's French-born founder Jerome Touze, as saying. Battling close for the most aloof and distant people were the Germans. To make matters worse, France didn't even top the vote for best foreign food, finishing second to the Italians. Italy was titled the most cultured nation, just ahead of France and Japan, while Spain was voted the country where most would like to live.

Bruce Willis confirms 4th Die Hard movie (Go To Top)

      London: Hollywood action star Bruce Willis has told fans at the Cannes film festival that the Die Hard sequel could be in cinemas by summer 2007. "We're as close as we've ever got to getting Die Hard 4 started. It won't be called Die Hard 4 but that will be the story. Hopefully it will be out next summer," BBC quoted him as saying. Producers had to rewrite the script because it bore a resemblance to the disaster that hit New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Before it was rewritten, the plot was to involve an oil tanker explosion on the Mississippi river that sent huge waves crashing into New Orleans. Die Hard, released in 1988, made Willis an instant superstar. He reprised his role as the tough and sardonic cop John McClane in Die Hard 2 in 1990 and Die Hard: With a Vengeance in 1995.

      Washington: The US Senate has decided to hike the maximum broadcast indecency fine per titillating infraction to a hefty 325,000 dollars. The bill, called the Broadcast Decency Enforcement Act. came up following the infamous Janet Jackson 'wardrobe malfunction' during the 2004 Super Bowl half-time show. "It's time that broadcast indecency fines represent a real economic penalty and not just a slap on the wrist. Radio and television waves are public property, and the companies who profit from using the public airwaves should face meaningful fines for broadcasting indecency, Eonline! quoted Kansas' Republican Senator Sam Brownback, the bill's sponsor, as saying. The bill still faces a vote in the House, which had wanted 500,000 dollars maximum fine as well as the threat of license revocation after three violations. "We'll work together, and I don't think anything necessarily is a deal-stopper," Michigan Republican Representative Fred Upton said. "I think the prospects are very good that we end up with something that both sides can support."

The Ghostbusters are back (Go To Top)

      Washington: Veteran actor-filmmaker Dan Aykroyd has scripted Ghostbusters in Hell, the third sequel to the series, with Ben Stiller filling in for Bill Murray, who had starred as Dr. Peter Venkman in the first two movies. Aykroyd's script transports the bumbling Ghostbusters into a parallel dimension via a portal in a New York warehouse, reports Contactmusic.

     Director Harold Ramis admits he is keen for Stiller to join Aykroyd and Rick Moranis, both of whom starred in the original movies, to reprise their roles. The comedy series, one of the biggest hits of the 1980s featured a hit song of the same name.
