The Spice Girls are history

London: Fans of the British all-girl band the Spice Girls will not be getting the opportunity to see their favourite singers on stage once again, for the group has called off their reunion tour. According to a source, plans for the tour fell apart after Sporty Spice Mel C and Posh Spice Victoria Beckham decided that the Spice tour had the potential to be a PR disaster for both their individual careers, and vetoed the idea. "Melanie has never really been into the idea of performing with the girls again. She is proud of everything they did together but she has moved on. She wants to concentrate on solo work. She met with Victoria, who was thinking the same thing. Posh is now heavily into fashion and realised the Spice tour had the potential to be a PR disaster," The Sun quoted the source, as saying.

Janet Jackson's nipple-gate fine stays (Go To Top)

Washington: Federal regulators will stick to their earlier decision to slap 20 CBS television stations with a 550,000 dollar fine for the Janet Jackson flash at the 2004 Super Bowl. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) also cited Nicole Richie's profanity-laden Billboard Music Awards speech in 2003 as violating broadcasting decency rules. Strict federal regulations bar television and radio stations from broadcasting indecent material, such as swearing and sexually explicit content, until the late evening, when children are less likely to be viewing. But Jackson's half-time nipple exposure at the football extravaganza was ruled a violation of these measures reports Contactmusic.
