Double Oscar winner Tom Hanks has reportedly agreed
to take a starring role at this year's Academy Awards as
a presenter of the coveted golden statuettes. Hanks, who
is also considered as one of Hollywood's most powerful producers
and directors, will join fellow Oscar-winners Hilary Swank
and Morgan Freeman as well as former Friends actress Jennifer
Aniston to hand out the 78th Academy Awards, reports BBC.
The 49-year-old actor has appeared in more than 50 films,
and has won back-to-back best actor Oscar awards for his
roles in 1993's Philadelphia and 1994's Forrest Gump. Oscar
nominations are due to be announced in Los Angeles on 31
January, with the ceremony taking place on 5 March.

The dream of Harry Potter fans for an invisibility cloak
may come true, as a Russian professor has revealed that
he is on the verge of creating a real version of Potter's
invisibility cloak. Oleg Gadomsky of Ulyanovsk University
who has already patented a method of surrounding static
objects with golden particles using optical radiation, so
they cannot be seen, is now working on moving material,
and said that creating Harry's cloak should not be too difficult.
"It shouldn't be difficult. It'll be possible to create
a real Harry Potter cloak," The Sun quoted him as saying.
With the professor's claim, fans can now look forward to
owning a real bit of Potter magic.

Rythmn queen Shakira has claimed to have discovered
her unique hip-shaking moves from a belly dancer, whose
performance she watched when she was a young girl. The Latin
pop star reportedly admitted that she was completely mesmerised
by the dancer's belly dancing skills, and even tried copying
her moves after getting back home. "I was mesmerised and
when I got home I started repeating every move I saw," Contactmusic
quoted her, as saying. "I fell in love with the idea of
performing in front of a live audience," she added The Colombian
beauty now credits the dance style with helping her overcome
crippling shyness. "I always felt the stage was the only
place where I was completely uninhibited because usually
I'm shy, although I've learned how to cover it," said Shakira.
"Belly dancing puts you in touch with your most sensual
aspects," she added.
Christopher Lee wants to be Don Quixote

Veteran movie star Christopher Lee has revealed that
he wants to play the role of the literary hero Don Quixote
in Terry Gilliam's upcoming movie 'The Man Who Killed Don
Quixote'. The 83-year old believes he is perfect for the
part, for not only does he have the acting capabilities,
he has the age to match the part. "I want to play Don Quixote.
I'm the right age - between 70 and 90!" Contactmusic quoted
him, as saying. The movie, which was shelved in 2000 when
soaring costs prompted investors to withdraw all funding,
also has 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star Johnny Depp lined
up in its cast.

It looks like the 'Queen of pop' has turned into a property
mogul, for the 'Hung Up' singer has just shelved out 900,000
pounds on her third London home. Madonna, who already owns
a five-storey house near Oxford Street, where she lives
with her family, as well as the mews property next door
to her latest acquisition, is also the proud owner of a
country estate in Wiltshire, and homes in New York, Miami
and LA. A neighbour of the singer revealed that Madonna
has had her eye on the property for a long time, had asked
the owner if he wanted to sell the property. And though
she is said to have driven a hard bargain, both parties
were happy with the deal. "She loves her home in London
but has always wanted more space. Properties here often
aren't as big as the enormous places you can get in Los
Angeles. She had been after the mews house next door for
a couple of years. She asked the banking consultant neighbour
who owned it if he was prepared to sell and eventually he
agreed. Although Im told she drove a hard bargain, both
sides are happy with the deal," The Sun quoted the neighbour,
as saying. The neighbour also revealed that the singer now
plans to move in more of her staff into the new property.
"Madonna likes the added security she will have owning the
house next door. She has had big security problems in the
past. She plans to move in more of her staff next door now
and she said she could do with the extra office space,"
the neighbour added.

the knife and have her 'humble breasts' surgically enhanced,
as she is now happy with her natural size. The 'Whenever,

decided to have the surgery after realizing that she was
unhappy with her bust size. However, she added that she
had changed her mind and is now completely against the idea
of going under the knife. "The first line I wrote for this
new album was, "I told you I felt lucky with my humble breasts,
well I'm not'. That's when I was considering going under
the knife, but now I'm completely against the idea. But

a wardrobe of girdles to camouflage her post- pregnancy

she fears the battle to regain her superstar shape after
she gives birth later this year. "You think, 'It's fine

agent James Bond in the upcoming flick 'Casino Royale',
has vowed never to go drinking with his directors ever again,
for the actor revealed that he ends up agreeing to do nude
scenes once he's had a drink too many. Craig, who bared
all in the 2000 flick 'Some Voices' said that though he
was originally only meant to strip to the waist in one scene,
he had agreed to appear in the buff after getting drunk.
"The scene was written as me running down the road stripped
to the waist, covered in tomato juice. But then I got drunk
at Simon's and said, 'I'll do it naked!' The lesson is,

loves being naked on film sets and is very comfortable in
doing love scenes in front of the camera. The Irish star
revealed that he likes baring all so much he would stroll
around movie sets in the nude if he was allowed to. "Sex
scenes are a piece of cake. I don't find them difficult
at all. If I could, I'd take my shirt off in every scene
or I'd be wandering around the set completely naked,"Femalefirst
quoted a source as telling Britain's Daily Star newspaper.
The 29-year-old star also revealed he has a lucky charm
- a special pair of underpants. Farrell - who checked into
rehab last month after becoming addicted to prescription
painkillers - says he wears the lucky pants to every set
at the start of shooting. "I have a lucky pair of underpants
which are for the first day of shooting," he added.
