Maruti increases prices across all models

    New Delhi: Maruti Udyog Limited, the country's largest carmaker on Monday increased the prices of all its models from Rs 1,500 to Rs 15,000. The increase in prices will be effective from today, MUL said in a statement. According to the statement the company has increased the prices across all models mainly due to increase in input costs and freight costs, which went up following the rise in oil prices. MUL had increased the prices of its vehicle in October 2005 citing the same reason. The company has increased the price of its "Grand Vitara MT" model by Rs 15,000. It's price has been increased from Rs 18,13,760 to Rs 18,28,760. 'M800 Std' and 'M800 Std Ac' price has been hiked by Rs 3,000 each. The lowest change in price is 'Omni E' model. Its price has been hiked by Rs 1,500 from Rs 2,33,942 to Rs 2,35,442.
