Washington: The screen adaptation of Dan Brown's bestseller
The Da Vici Code is at the centre of a copyright wrangle
after claims the story was copied from another book. The
book which has been adapted for the big screen by Ron Howard,
has been slammed by Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh and Henry
Lincoln, the authors of The Holy Blood And The Holy Grail.
The writing trio insists their work has been ripped off
and is seeking 17 million dollars as compensation.

Washington:
This time it isn't British beauty Elizabeth Hurley's
face or her life in the news, but her feet, for the 'Bedazzled'
star is getting set to pose for shoe designer Patrick Cox's
new spring-summer 2006 advertising campaign. Cox, whose
latest collection has been inspired by the hit 1967 movie
'Valley of the Dolls', said that Hurley was perfect for
the campaign as she portrayed the independent woman. "Liz
is a dose of reality, an independent woman - just the type
of woman who buys our shoes," Contactmusic quoted him, as
saying.

Washington:
It seems that Drew Barrymore has landed herself a good
man this time, for not only did her rocker love Fabrizio
Moretti cut short his appearance at the NME awards held
recently in London, but in an industry where staying faithful
is a not too often heard of, he also managed to stay faithful
and celibate for a whole month. The 'Strokes' drummer, who
has had a busy schedule promoting the band's new album,
told reporters at the glittering bash that he was rushing
back to his ladylove for he had not enjoyed the pleasures
of the flesh for a month. "I'm rushing back to Drew 'coz
I haven't had sex in a month," Contactmusic quoted him,
as saying.
Cruise
not responsible for Holmes' lost sex scene (Go

Washington:
Actor Tom Cruise's conspiracy theorists will be disappointed
as it appears the mega-star had nothing to do with fiancee
Katie Holmes's sex scene being removed from her upcoming
film, "Thank You For Smoking". Director Jason Reitman has
reportedly solved the mystery of the actress' raunchy scene,
insisting that a young production assistant had misplaced
the saucy footage. "It was a projection error. They just
lost that reel," Contactmusic quoted him, as telling the
New York Daily News. Insiders were quick to blame Tom, 43,
for the omission of the scene, conspicuous by its absence
at the Sundance Film Festival, but the filmmaker's reveleation
has confirmed the actor is indeed innocent.
Is age catching up with Becks? (Go

London:
British soccer star David Beckham feels that age is
catching up with him as he struggles to get out of bed in
the morning, even though he's only 30. The super-fit soccer
star also admitted that he has started watching his weight
too. "I find it harder to get up in the morning. It could
be because I'm getting older, or it could be because I've
got three sons. For a woman, I think 30 is one of the best
ages - for a man, they say it's all downhill from there.
"You start putting on weight and getting lumps and bumps
in places you didn't have them when you were 20. You start
getting a few aches and pains. But you know, I'm quite enjoying
30," he was quoted by The Sun, as saying. Meanwhile Becks
said that he enjoys having a "kickaround" with his sons
Brooklyn, six, and Romeo, three. "Romeo's just obsessed,
probably more obsessed by football than Brooklyn. He's the
one to put his boots and kit on, and he's up and away. He's
got the Real Madrid kit in three colours and the two England
kits. If they go into football, great. I'll support them
whatever they do," he said.
