Shyamalan's wife thinks he's nuts

Washington: Film-maker M Night Shyamalan has a lot of psychological problems - at least that's according to his psychologist wife Bhavna Vaswani. The 'Lady in the Water' director revealed that he has been his wife's favourite test subject ever since she got her doctorate in psychology, and that according to her, he has a lot of problems. "My wife just got her doctorate in psychology. I have a lot of problems apparently!" Contactmusic quoted him, as saying. And, Symalan is also advising other men to take a page out of his book, and not marry women with PhDs in psychology. "A wife with a PhD in psychology is not something I'd recommend," he added.

Shyamalan lonely without Gibson, Willis (Go To Top)

Washington: One of the biggest woes of Director M Night Shyamalan's life, when it comes to staying away from Los Angeles, is his lonely status without the presence of his close pals Mel Gibson and Bruce Willis. The writer/director has said that he makes friends for a lifetime, and the fact that he can't keep be in constant touch with them, upsets him. He further said that he especially misses Willis and Gibson who starred in his 1999 psychological thriller 'The Sixth Sense'. "The only bad thing for me about not living in Los Angeles is that I make close friends and then I cannot continue that relationship on a daily basis. That can be very lonely", Contactmusic quoted him, as saying. "People like Mel Gibson and Bruce Willis. I physically miss these guys. You have such an intense relationship and then they're gone". He added.

Harry Potter is stinking rich! (Go To Top)

London: Looking like Harry Potter can certainly be a blessing, especially if you're Daniel Radcliffe, for thanks to the boy wizard the actor not only has a huge fan following all around the world, but has also become the UK's highest paid teen. The 17-year old star not only managed to conjure up almost 6 million pounds in earnings in 2005, but is also about to pull in a whopping 8 million pounds more when he films the next movie 'Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix'. Radcliffe's earnings are channelled through a company called Gilmore Jacobs run by his literary agent dad Alan and casting director mum Marcia who own all 1,000 of the firm's shares, but have stipulated that the firm's riches belong to Daniel, reports The Sun. Accounts reveal that the company made a profit of 5,895,667 pounds compared to 4,754,486 pounds in the previous year. The actor now is now richer by 1,324,292 pounds as compared to last year, with his investments also seeing a hike of 1,688,542 pounds. However, the only person not too bothered about his earnings is the young actor himself, for what matters to him most is that he's surrounded by a family who loves him. "I don't actually know how much I am worth. In a way, I think that's right. It's not something that affects the way I think about things. If childhood is being surrounded by people who you love being around and being incredibly happy, I absolutely have had that," The Sun quoted him, as saying. The new figures cover the period up to the end of September 2005.

London: What does Justin Timberlake do to beat the homesickness blues while on tour? Simple, he carries his own bed linen with him wherever he goes. The 'Justified' singer, whose new album, "FutureSex/LoveSounds," hits stores mid-September, said that while on tour, he makes it a point to cart his bed linen with him, for it reminds him of home. "I have a thing about sleeping in my own bedding. It reminds me of home," The Sun quoted him, as saying.

Brangelina's hideout up for grabs (Go To Top)

Washington: Fans of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie now have the chance to own their Namibian hideout, for it will soon be going under the auctioneer's hammer. The Burning Stone resort is the one in which the couple, along with their kids Maddox and Zahara, holed up while awaiting the birth of their child Shiloh, reports TMZ.com. The allegedly shelved out 2 million dollars to empty the hotel for a period of 80 days, so that there would be no peeping guests or paparazzi hounding them during their stay in the African nation. The resort is said to be going under the hammer on August 30.

Trouble brewing between Cruise, Holmes (Go To Top)

London: It seems that trouble is brewing in Tom Cruise's home, for though he would like fiancee Katie Holmes to be a stay-at-home mom, she has other ideas. A pal of the actress revealed that Holmes was keen to get back to work, and that she had asked Cruise to use his connections to land her the lead role in an action flick. Tom however is reluctant to do so for he wants Katie to stay at home with the couple's infant daughter Suri. "Katie would love to do an action flick and has asked Tom to use his connections. But he'd like her to stay at home with the baby," the Mirror quoted the pal, as saying.

Madonna, Ritchie to renew marriage vows (Go To Top)

Washington: Pop queen Madonna and her hubby Guy Ritchie are planning to rekindle the moments they shared on the day they tied the knot, as the couple will be renewing their marriage vows in a simple ceremony in the garden of their Wiltshire home. The ceremony is expected to take place after Madge completes her current 'Confessions' tour. Their marriage was amidst a lot of speculation last year, with rumours suggesting that their relationship is on the rocks. But however the duo eventually proved the tabloid gossip to be baseless, and is now looking forward to reaffirm their love in a romantic ceremony. "They want to show the world how committed they are to each other. Because they've been living in Los Angeles, they've missed spending time in the English countryside with friends and family", Contactmusic quoted their friend from celebrity week's website. Madonna's nine-year-old daughter Lourdes, from her relationship with dancer Carlos Leon, and her son with Ritchie, five-year-old Rocco, are said to be very excited about the proposed ritual.
