Jolie gets her Maddox hooked to Yoga! (Go To Top)

      Washington: Hollywood beauty and expectant mother Angelina Jolie is reportedly trying to encourage her adopted son Maddox into taking up Yoga. The actress who is pregnant with Brad Pitt's child introduced Maddox to top French instructor Maryam Askari, who helped Jolie cope with aches and pains of pregnancy when she was recently in Paris. Apparently when Maddox showed interest in his mum's hobby, she signed him up for a class. "She loves to do yoga with Maddox. He's really into it," Contact music was quoted by Askari telling America's Life + Style magazine.

Teri Hatcher gets glass in her eyes on set (Go To Top)

      Washington: Desperate Housewives star, Teri Hatcher injured her eye on the sets of the show, when a light bulb exploded and shards of glass lodged in the actor's eye. She is now on a two day break and will resume working after the short break. "Glass lodged in my right eye and proceeded to scratch my cornea, I was taken to a wonderful eye doctor, and now am wearing a most glamorous eye patch over the right half of my face," People Magazine quoted her, as saying. According to eonline, the actress is not letting the incident weigh her down, instead she is looking at the positive side of things. "I'm in some pain, but trying to see the humor in the oddity of it all. No one was at fault. I like to look at the positive,and the good news is, the cornea is the fastest healing tissue in the body," she added. After she recovers from the incident, the 41-year old actress is all set to work on her book which is a subtle reflection of her own personal life ,and is expected to hit the stores in May this year. "People expect that if you're pretty, successful, the boyfriend mission should be easy, she writes in her book. I never thought I'd be over 40 and have no one to go to dinner with, nor someone who loves me and whom I trust, but here I am. Sad but true," she said.

Padma goes crazy with Sean's kissing (Go To Top)

      Washington: Actress Padma Laxmi, the India-born wife of celebrated author Salman Rushdie, credits co-star Sean Bean for making the kissing scene in British TV series 'Sharpe's Challenge,' "an enjoyable experience." The model-turned-actress has a strict no nudity clause in her contract, but is quite comfortable with lips-locking scenes. And though she was apprehensive before shooting the sensitive sequence with Bean in director Tom Clegg's latest telly series, she admits the Lord Of The Rings star helped her not only do it with ease, but made it pleasurable as well. "We had a passionate kiss in one scene and I have to say Sean is a very good kisser. "I don't like nudity but I'm OK with kissing and Sean made it an enjoyable experience," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

     London: "Pirates Of The Carribbean" star Keira Knightley has been voted the world's sexiest woman in a magazine poll, leaving 19 year old model Keeley Hazel and Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson in second and third places. While actress Angelina Jolie, who in the US has topped People magazine's list of '100 Most Beautiful People', came in fourth, model and TV presenter Kelly Brook slipped to fifth position from first last year. The poll to find the world's top beauties was in men's magazine FHM, and was based on two million votes, reports The Sun. And according to FHM, it was the only one of its kind voted for entirely by the British public.

Wanted: New 'James Bonds' for MI6 (Go To Top)

      London: For the first time in its 97-year history, British intelligence agency "MI6" is going to publish advertisements in newspapers for new 'James Bonds'. The advertisements will run in The Times newspaper and The Economist magazine this week, reported The Sun. Senior executives in MI6 are learnt to have made the landmark move as part of their strategy to give the service more of "a public face". They are of the view that if more is known about what international service MI6 really does, the best agents will join it, the paper added. "We hope people who might have thought MI6 was not for them may consider us as an employer," it quoted a government source as saying. One of the ads yet-to-be-published reportedly reads: "We operate around the world to make this country safer and more prosperous." According to the report, the advertisements feature photos of places in the world where the secret agency operate - from their London HQ by the River Thames to Arabian deserts and central American jungles.

Meet Will Smith, the living 'Legend' (Go To Top)

      Washington: Hollywood hunk Will Smith has signed on to star in 'I Am Legend,' a sci-fi movie to be directed by Francis Lawrence (Constantine). The movie is set in post-apocalyptic times where he will play the last healthy man following the release of a virus that destroys the population. To survive, he must battle mutants that wreak havoc during the night. The film's shooting is expected to star in early 2007, and is based on a classic science fiction novel by Richard Matheson. 'I Am Legend' was previously brought to the big screen as The Last Man on Earth with Vincent Price and The Omega Man with Charlton Heston, reports Zap2it quoting trade paper Variety.

Liz called too wooden for the 'Catwalk'!

       London: Model turned actress Liz Hurley is too 'wooden' to host a reality TV show. The makers of Sky One's Project 'Catwalk' - a reality TV series about the fashion industry - are not impressed with the actress' presenting skills, and are, hence, looking for someone who "sizzles on camera". They want a replacement with lots of "personality and pizazz," in the show's second innings. "It doesn't matter if the person is not a stick-thin model or fashion queen - we want someone who sizzles on camera," The Sun quoted a source of Sky chiefs, as saying. Project Catwalk was Arun Nayar's girlfriend's first presenting job.

Coming up, American Pie 5

      Melbourne: It looks like Universal Pictures is in no mood to drive the final nail in the coffin of the American Pie sequel sequence, with a fifth film being lined up even though the production of American Pie 4 is still going on. The latest sequel has been named American Pie 5: The Naked Mile According to Moviehole, the new movie will have another new cast and 'another' new bunch of characters. Tad Hilgenbrink who played the role of the notorious Matt Stifler in the sequel won't be seen in the sequel. The movie will shift its focus on Adam Stifler, the cousin of Matt and Steve (Sean William Scott in the first three films), a youngster whose anything like his wild relations. Peer pressure starts to turn him though, with his pals coaxing him into helping host the college 'Naked Mile', a naked-run across the college campus. Joe Nussbaum will be directing the movie from a script by Erik Lindsay. Shooting for the film starts on May 29, in Toronto.

Elizabeth Taylor is inching closer to death (Go To Top)

       London: Oscar-winning actress Elizabeth Taylor is facing death after her heart began to fail. The 74-year old actress is confined to her bedroom and has apparently planned her funeral. Liz apparently wants to be laid to rest next to her late husband Richard Burton in Switzerland. According to a friend of the star, Liz isn't leaving much money to her children as she wants the bulk of her fortune to go to AIDS research. Patients who suffer from such heart disease could hasten their death by becoming depressed said doctors. "Once a person gives up hope the prognosis is very poor," Daily Mail quoted specialist Dr Richard Stein as saying.

Al Pacino joins Ocean's 13 cast (Go To Top)

     Washington: Al Pacino is joining George Clooney and the rest of the gang for Ocean's 13. The Godfather actor has been assigned the role of Willie Banks, a wealthy entrepreneur who owns a Vegas casino and hotel, the locality of which will doubtless be the venue for Clooney's latest robbery attempt, reports Eonline! Pacino is the latest star to join the star studded cast of Ocean's 13, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia and Don Cheadle, as well as new recruit Ellen Barkin. Steven Soderbergh will continue to direct the latest addition to the series.

Spider-man has popped the question (Go To Top)

      Washington: The bachelor days may soon be over for Spider-man star Tobey Maguire, for the handsome actor has reportedly got engaged to long-term girlfriend Jennifer Meyer. According to sources, Tobey, who has been romantically linked to his Spider-Man co-star Kirsten Dunst got down on one knee and popped the question to Jennifer, the daughter of Universal boss Ron Meyer, and presented her a dazzling Tiffany diamond ring. However, the pair, who have been dating since 2003 and share a home in Los Angeles, have yet to set a date for their nuptials, reports Contactmusic. Meanwhile, Tobey is in training to reprise his role as the web- slinging superhero for the third installment of the movie franchise based on the Marvel comic books.

Brosnan wasn't impressed with Bond as a kid

      Washington: Former Bond Pierce Brosnan admitted that, as a boy he was never impresssed by 007. The first Bond film that Brosnan saw was "Goldfinger", where, while he remained totally unimpressed by the suave super spy, he quite fancied the charcter of " Oddjobs" in the Sean Connery starrer. "I loved the naked lady on the bed. I was agog with that, and I loved the fella with the hat, ODDJOB, but I never wanted to be James Bond. I didn't really identify with him.I would have settled for Oddjob - character work", Contact Music quoted him as saying.

Carey buys Marilyn's grand piano (Go To Top)

      Washington: Singer Mariah Carey has revealed that she paid a whopping 662,500 dollars to buy a piano owned by Marilyn Monroe, because she identifies so closely with the legendary star. The singer splurged on the piano at a Christie's auction featuring Monroe's memorabilia and put it in her newly remodeled penthouse in New York City. "I could have gotten the 'Happy Birthday, Mr President' dress or whatever, but that would have represented Marilyn Monroe's stardom," she was quoted by Contactmusic,as saying. "The piano belonged to her mother and was a piece of her childhood." Carey has also decorated one of her bathrooms with photographs of the star and other Monroe memorabilia," she added.
