Ganguly
in Test team for series against Sri Lanka

Former captain Sourav Ganguly has been named in the
15-member team for the upcoming three-match Test Series
against Sri Lanka at home, while fast bowler Zaheer Khan
fails to find a place. Announcing the team here today, Chairman
of Selection Committee of the Board of Control of Cricket
in India (BCCI), Kiran More said Ganguly has been picked
as a batting all-rounder. Commenting on the exclusion of
Zaheer, More said that it was a tough call leaving him out
in spite of his good performance in the domestic season.
Uttar
Pardesh pacer RP Singh, who had an impressive series against
Sri Lanka earlier this month, has replaced Zaheer in the
squad. Another new face in the Test squad is Wicketkeeper-batsman
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who replaces Tamil Nadu wicketkeeper
Dinesh Kaarthick. Middle-order batsmen VVS Laxman and
leg spinner Anil Kumble have also been included for the
series. The selection committee, however, did not make any
changes in the one-day squad for the remaining two matches
against South Africa. Test Squad: Rahul Dravid (captain),
