Vote or die, says P Diddy (Go To Top)

          Washington: Rap star P Diddy has adopted a hard- hitting campaign slogan as he attempts to convince young people to vote in the coming November's Presidential election in America. Diddy's 'Citizen Change' campaign will use the slogan 'Vote or Die!' for its publicity on T-shirts. The hip-hop star hopes that his unusual and stern slogan will help young people realise the value of voting in elections. "It has been a national revolution for me. I was disenfranchised, like everybody else. I felt like the voting process it didn't matter, it didn't work. Politicians don't speak my language," rate the music quoted Diddy as saying. "But I got educated on how the game works. I knew I had to utilise my power and my vote to make them stand up and recognise me. This is one of the most important elections of all time. We control who is going to be the next president of the United States. This is a matter of life or death. This election is life or death, which is why Citizen Change has come up with our campaign slogan 'Vote Or Die'," added Diddy.

Democrats think Arnie's a 'plain jerk' (Go To Top)

          New York: The war of words between Californian Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his Democratic Party opponents is heating up after he recently called them "girlie men". They have retaliated by calling him a "plain jerk". According to the New York Daily News, the former actor's statement has caused a hue and cry amongst Democrat supporters. Schwarzenegger made the remark because they were delaying the passing a 103 billion-dollar budget for the state. Miffed Democrats are now calling him a "juvenile boy with steroid muscles". "I've always considered him a jerk, and this has reinforced that. He's a juvenile boy with steroid muscles who has never really adjusted to being an elected official," Bob Mulholland, the campaign adviser to the California Democratic Party, was quoted as saying.

Hugh Grant spends night with Jemima Khan (Go To Top)

          London: Hugh Grant , who is reportedly seeing Jemima Khan, has shed the shroud of secrecy behind their relationship after being snapped at Jemima's home, after spending the night with her. According to a report in Hello magazine, Grant was spotted collecting the morning papers from outside her Fulham home last weekend , thereby lending credence to the seriousness of their alleged affair. Though Grant has been very cautious about avoiding the paparazzi and getting snapped with Jemima,this time round the camera caught him leaving Jemima's home after allegedly spending the night there. Grant was reportedly seen emerging from the mews cottage early on Saturday morning and after collecting the papers ,he got into his black Mercedes and drove himself home. Meanwhile Grant's ex-love, Liz Hurley who dated Hugh between 1987 and 2001, has reportedly, given her blessings to Hugh's relationship with Jemima. "Jemima is lovely and I've told Hugh I'm desperate to see him happy and settle down with the perfect woman," she was quoted by the report as saying.

Madonna pays her dancers a pittance (Go To Top)

         New York: Pop diva Madonna's dancers are paid less than a 1000 dollars per show as compared to the two million dollars that the singer earns per show. At bigger arenas, a single concert can rake in as much as 12 million dollars. "I know they're not getting paid that much, considering how much they're working," a friend of one of the dancers was quoted as saying. According to The New York Daily News, the dancers trained for 12 hours a day, six days a week for two months to prepare for the current "Re-invention" tour. The 12 dancers are not unionised and were forced to perform at a venue without air conditioning to preserve the 'Material Girl's' voice. "Sometimes it's insanely hot. It's very hard to breathe, and they have oxygen in our dressing rooms." a dancer was quoted as saying. However, the dancers are still thrilled to be on tour with the pop icon. "She treats us like royalty. She even had us to her house for a cookout," Seth Stewart, one of the dancers, was quoted as saying. "The dancers seem very happy. I haven't heard otherwise," Madonna spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg was quoted as saying.

         London: Pop diva Madonna who is 45 and a mum of two, could even now give most of the younger singers a run for their money. According to The Sun, the singer looked ravishingly beautiful in a sexy black wig and plunging top during the US leg of her 'Re- Invention Tour'. She even set pulses racing when she appeared in fishnet tights and boots to shoot for the cover of American magazine 'Ocean Drive'.

         London: Britney Spears might not be putting up here, but Boston's Onyx Hotel has its very own Britney Spears' room, all thanks to her mother. According to Ananova, Britney's mother Lynne has designed the 325 square ft room the way the 22-year old pop singer's bedroom is at her home in Kentwood, Louisiana. The room's mini bar is choc-a-bloc with some of Britney's favourite treats - Cheetos, strawberry Pop Tarts, Starburst candy, Red Bull, Pepsi and orange juice, including her CDs and a DVD of her 2002 movie, Crossroads. The room is in off-white, with shades of green, gold, pink and soft blue. It has glass-beaded wallpaper over the headboard of the bed with the gold-speckled walls in the bathroom decorated with fairies. The shower has a gold-toned shower curtain with gold beading. One has to shell out 349 dollars for a night in the high season (spring, summer, autumn) and 259 dollars for the rest of the year.

Britney's beau becomes a father for the second time (Go To Top)

          London: Pop diva Britney Spears' fianci, Kevin Federline has become a father for the second time. According to People magazine, his former girlfriend, actress Shar Jackson gave birth to their child in California on Tuesday. Federline, who visited the hospital sans Spears, missed out on the delivery by a few hours. Jackson and Federline already have a two-year-old daughter Kori. "I love my children more than life itself. My kids will always be part of my life." Federline later said in an interview to People. According to E-Online, Britney Spears who is currently recovering from a knee injury, has said that she will definitely meet her stepchildren. She added that she also wants children of her own. "I see myself with four or five," she was quoted as saying in the magazine.

Joan Crawford was not Marilyn Monroe's 'type' (Go To Top)

         New York: Though Marilyn Monroe admitted that she had sex with other women, she had rejected actress Joan Crawford's advances. According to Matthew Smith's book, "Marilyn's Last Words: Her Secret Tapes and Mysterious Death," which is based on a recorded conversation between Monroe and her psychiatrist, Dr. Ralph Greenson, the star admitted to having relationships with women. "I told her straight out I didn't much enjoy doing it with a woman. After I turned her down, she became spiteful." Monroe was quoted as saying about her interaction with Crawford in one of the recordings.

Beckhams' intruder is also a Hitler admirer (Go To Top)

          London: The 'mysterious' intruder, who was captured on the grounds of Victoria and David Beckham's mansion yesterday, is reported to be a great admirer of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. According to The Sun, the drug maniac had reportedly turned his flat into a memorial for Adolf Hitler. A swastika was found carved on the front door of 38-year old's second-floor council flat, which was also marked with Nazi flags and pictures of Hitler. His neighbours have also reportedly complained about his rough behaviour in the past. "He plays nasty racial, skinhead stuff. We are always complaining to the police and the council. But nothing ever gets done," one neighbor was quoted as saying.
