Patna: Devotees thronged the markets to make last-minute purchases for the Chhath pooja in Patna on Monday and Tuesday. Former state Chief minister of Bihar Rabri Devi too made preparations for the festival along with family members. The festival is celebrated in Bihar and in parts of neighbouring Uttar Pradesh and by Biharis settled elsewhere. According to the tradition, offerings are made to the Sun god in knee deep water by women during the festival.
