Varanasi: Around forty American Hindu followers of 'Maa Anandamay Ashram' in America have visited the ghats of the holy city of Varanasi. The Americans, who are devotees of Lord Shiva, follows the teachings of Shree Shree Laksmi Devi, the Guru of the 'Maa Anandamay Ashram'. "I am here to celebrate my honour by Guru Shivananda Saima Laxmi Devi Shree Sharvand Chalandi Mayi. Also, I am here because it is the home of Shiva, my home. I am here for my spiritual practice and my love for everyone," said Parameshwara Bhramachari, a follower of Shree Laxmi Devi Chalandi Sarvananda Mayi. Maa Anandamay Ashram is a non-profit organisation, which teaches the oneness of God. The devotees believe that Hinduism spreads the message of love and compassion. "What attracted me to Saima's teachings is her understanding in conveying the message that we are all one in the highest love of our 'atma' we are. There is no difference between any of us regardless of our faith and tradition," said Maheshwari Amba, executive director, Saima Laxmi Devi Chalandi Sarvananda Mayi Humanity and Unity.
Guru Shree Laxmi Devi Chalandi Sarvananda Mayi believed different cultures
express the same eternal truth in different ways, but truth is only one.
"The Christ, the Buddha and the Krishna carry the same light and there
is only one god. One light, one love, one heart and with this one heart
that is to unite the whole humanity. Krshna no Christ, Buddhist no Buddha,
We know Shiva but he's only one and this is what I am here for," said
