Queen to taste Kashmiri delicacies

London: British Queen Elizabeth II will taste the spicy Kashmiri delicacies when she visits Huddersfield next week. She will have dainty items like lamb kofta, masala fish and karahi okra, poppdums, and pickles. The monarch, who is known for her liking of plain food, will be accompanied by her husband, Prince Philip. According to reports, the idea of organising an Indian feast for the Royals was forwarded by officials in the Yorkshire town, where a large number of Asians reside. "It's the first time in my experience that the Queen has had an Indian lunch on one of these visits," the Daily Express quoted a courtier as saying about the Kashmiri banquet. Restaurant chain Mumtaz has been given the onerous task of hosting the Queen. Its director Rab Nawaz is very excited about getting such an opportunity. "It's every chef's dream to cook for the Queen so this is a special day," said Nawaz. It is, however, yet unknown whether the Royal couple will be served Cobra or Kingfisher lager with the meal.
