Satyam has centre in Shanghai

          NEW DELHI: Satyam Computer Services Pvt Ltd has opened a software development centre in Shanghai. The centre is planned to facilitate expansion of the company's operations in the Asia-Pacific region. It will depend on Chinese personnel to deliver its services, its chairman said.

Lodhi, Qutab, Laxmi Vilas Hotels Sold

          NEW DELHI: The Government has sold India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC)'s Lodhi, Qutab and Laxmi Vilas hotels for a total of Rs 117 cr. The first two are in Delhi and the third is located in Udaipur.

           Qutab hotel has been sold to Asian Hotels promoter Sushil Gupta for Rs 37 cr, Lodhi hotel to Singapore-based Silver Link Holdings for Rs 72 cr and Laxmi Vilas to Bharat Hotels promoted by Lalit Suri for Rs 8 cr.

Infosys to open office in Shanghai

          BANGALORE: Chinese premier Zhu Rongji, on his visit here, has given

instant approval to Narayana Murthy's Infosys to open office in Shanghai. Rongji said on the occasion that India has taken long trides in the field of software technology. On the Nasdaq-listed company he said, "A moment ago I was asked to write down my impressions of the company in the visitors' book. I wrote: Advanced technology, outstanding talent, modern management and tremendous achievement".
