Runway
lights stolen
COIMBATORE:
Twenty-five approach light fittings worth
several lakhs of rupees have been stolen from
an airport runway here. The planes that landed
for the next few days had to do without approach
lights.
It has been only a week that the Central Industrial
Security Force (CISF) took over security duty
at the airport from the state police.

Music
festival in the air
NEW
DELHI: With a view to attracting traffic,
Air Sahara has introduced a new programme
- Music Festival in the Air. The programme
is to have a group of musicians playing Western
and Indian music in the plane. This is scheduled
to run for a month in February. The flights
which will have the show are those in Delhi-Mumbai,
Delhi-Bangalore, Delhi-Kolkata and Mumbai-Kolkata
sectors.

renamed
NEW
DELHI: SK Modi's ModiLuft has been re-named
as Royal Airlines, and approval has been obtained.
It is scheduled to start operations in May.
