Snag forcelands AI aircraft at Delhi airport

       New Delhi: A US-bound Air India aircraft, AI 161, had to make an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, after a technical snag was discovered in its engine. According to an Air India spokesperson, the aircraft had no passengers. The plane, which was in the air for two hours, after taking off from Delhi, was reportedly on a 'ferry flight' to the US via Birmingham. It developed right engine failure and had to return. A 'ferry flight' is purely for economical reasons, used to ferry the aircraft from one place to another.
