Pawan Hans service to Junagarh temple

       Ahmedabad: Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd (PHL) has started a chopper service to the Maa Ambaji Temple situated on Girnar Hill in Junagarh to boost pilgrim tourism in Gujarat. The Maa Ambaji temple is one of the richest and holiest in Gujarat, attracting lakhs of pilgrims from within the state and from neighbouring Rajasthan every year. The five-seater Bell 407 helicopter service to the temple will ensure a bump-free ride for devotees. The estimated flying time from Zaffar Maidan, Junagarh (base) to the Maa Ambaji and the Jain Temples is around seven minutes. Shree Dwarkadeesh Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. will handle the timing and fares connected with trip. The return fare will be Rs. 7000 per passenger. PHL, a Government enterprise has started this chopper service in partnership with Shree Dwarkadeesh Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. It has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat Government. Chopper services have already been launched to holy pilgrim spots like Kedarnath, Badrinath, Amarnath and Vaishnodevi. Established in 1985, PHL is one of Asia's largest helicopter companies, operating 34 state-of-the-art helicopters.
