Indian introduces five new flights to Gulf Mumbai:
National carrier Indian, as part of its summer schedule, has stepped
up its Indo-Gulf connectivity by adding five new connections to destinations
in the Gulf and one to South-East Asia. According to an official release,
the carrier is starting a daily Airbus A-320 flight service from Mumbai
to Dubai from today. Nagpur will get its first Indian connection from
April 15 with the introduction of a Hyderabad-Nagpur-Bangkok flight every
Tuesday and Saturday, while daily services would be launched to United
Arab Emirates from Chennai and Kozhikode from June 1. With these new services,
the total number of flights operated by Indian to the Gulf would go up
to 96 per week with 15 cities in India now being connected to the Gulf.
With this, Indian will connect Bangkok with nine destinations in India,
offering 29 flights per week, including a daily frequency between Kolkata
and Bangkok, the airline said adding that with this new service Indian
will now offer 67 flights per week from India to South-East Asia.
