Kingfisher launches new Mumbai-Mangalore service Mumbai: Kingfisher Airlines, the first Indian carrier to win the prestigious "New Airline of the Year 2005" award in the Asia Pacific and Middle East region from Centre for AsiaPacific Aviation (CAPA) today announced, the launch of its new service between Mumbai and Mangalore. The new route will provide convenient service for business and leisure travelers alike at inaugural True Value fare of Rs. 1,999/- onwards for travel between Mumbai and Mangalore. With the launch of this new route, the number of daily flights offered by Kingfisher Airlines has gone up to 58 connecting 14 key Indian cities. Commenting
on the launch of the new route, Dr. Vijay Mallya, Chairman and Managing
Director, Kingfisher Airlines, said, "Kingfisher Airlines has recently
won the "New Airline of the Year 2005" award in the Asia Pacific and Middle
East region. We are committed to redefining the way the Indian air traveler
perceives air travel. The launch of this new route between Mumbai and
Mangalore is part of our plan to expand the network. With our unique in-flight
and on-ground experience, we aim to revolutionize business and leisure
travel on this route". Kingfisher Airlines commenced operations on May
9th, with a brand new fleet of aircraft. The airlines offers world-class
in-flight entertainment with personal video screens for every seat. There'
s a wide selection of five video channels and 10 audio channels available
onboard. Also on offer are extra-wide seats and spacious leg room, delicious
gourmet meals, international-class cabin crew and a whole hostof comforts
and delights. Kingfisher Airlines also facilitates doorstep delivery of
tickets on guest request. The UB Group of which Kingfisher Airlines is
a part,is one of India's largest conglomerates with net revenues in excess
of two billion dollars, with diverse interests in brewing, distilling,
real estate, engineering, fertilizers, biotechnology, IT and aviation.
