Report & Forecast
(Indicating regional changes)
February 24, 2009
Weather
forecast valid for next 3 days
Scattered to fairly widespread rain/snow is likely
over western Himalayan region during the next 24 hours
and isolated thereafter. Both minimum and maximum
temperatures are above normal by 3-6°C over many parts
of northwest, west and central India. The current
meteorological analysis suggests that slight fall
in temperatures is likely over the region from tomorrow
onwards. Interpretation of numerical weather prediction
models suggest scattered rain/thundershowers activity
over parts of northeastern states during the next
4-5 days.
OUTLOOK
(Feb 27-Mar 1): Scattered rain/thundershowers are
likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and
Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
