New Delhi: TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel community, today announced the winners of its 2009 Travellers' Choice awards, in its seventh year, honoring the world's best hotels as selected by millions of travellers worldwide. Unlike any other hotel awards programs in the world, TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice winners are based on the millions of real and unbiased reviews and opinions about hotels on TripAdvisor and content from across the web. This year, TripAdvisor is focusing more than ever on value with nearly five times more bargain hotels than last year, and has identified top 100 bargain hotels in the world. Four hundred and forty-three total hotels, up from 325 in 2008, have been honored this year. The hotels have received awards in the following categories: Best Bargains, Best Luxury, Best Hidden Gems, Best for Families, Best for Romance, Best Inns & B&Bs, Best All-Inclusive Hotels, Best Service and Best Brands. Ritz-Carlton has been recognized as the Best Brand. Among the Indian hotels wearing the crown, and located in the picturesque "pink city," Jas Vilas, Jaipur is among the Top 100 Bargain Hotels in the world and is affordable for all travellers at 3,200 rupees a night for double occupancy.
