Delhi experiences hottest day of April in 50 years

     New Delhi: Majority of Delhiites remained indoors or used protective gears as the national capital experienced the hottest day of April in the last 50 years with mercury touching 43.5 degree Celsius. Director of Indian Meteorological Department BP Yadav said the temperature on April 29 is a record for the month of April in the past 50 years. The Met Department said Wednesday's temperature was five degrees above normal during this period of time and it rose from Tuesday's 42.2 degree Celsius. The minimum was recorded at 24.4 degree Celsius, one degree above normal. Weathermen predicted no relief from the scorching sun tomorrow with mercury likely to remain at 43 degrees and minimum rising to 27 degree Ceslius.
