Dharamshala witnesses snowfall after more than a decade

     Dharamshala: Residents of Dharamshala were forced to stay indoors because of the snowfall, which blocked the roads. The town witnessed snowfall after more than a decade. Dharamshala is the hometown of Tibetan spiritual leader, Dalai Lama, is an important pilgrim centre. "It's the first snowfall after 1992. It's been 4-5 cms of snow today. It's good for the economy and agriculture here," said Akhilesh Bharti, a local resident. Tourism is the mainstay of the state, besides agriculture, horticulture, and forestry. Hometown to the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, Dharamshala is an important pilgrim tourist centre. "It's the first snowfall after 1992. It's been 4-5 cms of snow today.
