Here is Britney's baby's horoscope (Go To Top)

New York: The 'son' seems to be shining on the Federline family! Already in an euphoric state after the birth of their baby boy, Britney and hubby Kevin would probably be over the moon, after reading their baby's horoscope. According to The New York Daily News astrologer, Britney's boy, being a Virgo, will have a sensitive nature, and will love to read and learn. He will also have a quick mind and will be quite an original thinker, thanks to the influence of Uranus in the third house. He will also inherit a lot of his mother's Sagittarian qualities, that will lend him a very sunny disposition, a love for traveling and playing sports. Not only will he be organized, modest, and extremely hardworking, he will also have a strong idealistic streak, the astrologer adds. He is likely to rise to the very top of his profession and earn respect in his own right, as Jupiter, the planet of gifts and luck, is in his house of fame and career success. According to his birth-chart, with his moon being in Aquarius, he will have a natural flair for radio and television, and will have plenty of money, which he will earn much of himself when he grows up, the astrologer predicts. And as an icing on the family cake, the astrologer predicts that Britney's marriage will be a happy one, as she wed on the luckiest day of the year.

Diaz's 'topless' shutterbug sent to the slammer (Go To Top)

Washington: A photographer, who was convicted in July this year on charges of trying to sell topless pictures of Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz, has been sentenced to almost four years of imprisonment. John Rutter took the pictures in 1992, and when Diaz shot to fame, he approached her with the photos and tried to sell them back to her for three million dollars. He also threatened the actress to buy the pix, or else he would sell them to the highest bidder. In Los Angeles court, Rutter asked Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor for probation, saying that the case was a misunderstanding and that he had never intended to harm Diaz. "I deeply regret the perception that I had done wrong. I never intended any harm...It's a shame this whole mess ever happened," E!Online quoted Rutter as saying to the judge. The judge, however, rejected Rutter's plea and ordered him to do 44 months in state prison, stating that his actions in the Diaz situation involved definite criminal sophistication. "Mr. Rutter did take advantage of a position of confidence that Miss Diaz had in Mr. Rutter," Pastor was quoted as saying. During her testimony, Diaz had acknowledged posing bare-breasted more than a decade ago, but maintained that she never signed a release for the photos and insisted that the signature on Rutter's document was a forgery - a finding that was substantiated by forensic experts in court. Diaz and Rutter still have to square off in a civil case related to the photos. Trial in that matter is scheduled for Feb. 15, 2006 in Santa Monica Superior Court.

12-year-old dies imitating Depp's 'Pirates' noose scene (Go To Top)

London: A 12-year-old boy hung himself as he tried to imitate Hollywood star Johnny Depp in hit film Pirates Of The Caribbean, which showed the actor's character Captain Jack Sparrow wriggling from a hangman's noose and leaping to safety. Tragic Scott Buckle, who was into a habit of doing role-plays, was found dead in his bedroom by his foster mother, Fiona Buckle, as he had reportedly mimicked a hanging scene by making a tie into a noose and fixing it to a bedpost. "Scott liked films and he liked to role play afterwards," the Sun quoted Fiona as saying. "Sometimes he would sword fight after watching a video. He thought he was invincible and took some risks. He was impulsive," she added. The incidence has completely devastated Scott's parents, who feel that because he suffered from Attention Defecit Hyperactivity Disorder, which made him unaware of danger, he committed he mistake. "He was so, so intelligent for his age. I loved him so much," said heartbroken Kenneth, the victim's father. According to child psychiatrists, such fatal incidences have become so prevalent in the modern days that children are no longer afraid of doing such acts, as they do not realise the consequences of them. "The coincidences are high. He had a history of role play in relation to other films," said child psychiatris Dr. John Talbot at the Swansea inquest. "The anti-hero is a type of character Scott would identify strongly with," he added.

Pear shaped bodies healthier than apple shaped ones (Go To Top)

Washington: Reseachers have revealed that pear shaped bodies healthier than apple shaped ones. According to experts at the American College of Cardiology (ACC). Humor aside, research has drawn significant links between body shape and heart disease. The American College of Cardiology is hoping to reshape America by highlighting this new health data on World Heart Day. "People whose fat collects around the waist - the classic apple shape - are at higher risk of heart disease than their pear- shaped counterparts, whose weight collects around the hips," said Roger S. Blumenthal, M.D., F.A.C.C., director of The Johns Hopkins Ciccarone Center for the Prevention of Heart Disease. "The majority of heart disease is preventable." This September 25th marks the fifth annual World Heart Day with a theme of "Healthy Weight, Healthy Shape." The effort will focus on preventive measures and seeks to remind people of the risks leading to cardiovascular disease. Dr. Blumenthal added, "Cardiovascular disease is often not optimally managed. Often physicians could do a better job of motivating patients to improve their lifestyle habits." World Heart Day provides a simple start to understanding the personal risk of heart disease, according to Blumenthal. "Where does your body collect fat? Is your body shape more like an apple or a pear?" "Good health doesn't just happen. It takes work and awareness of one's habits," said Pamela Douglas, M.D., F.A.C.C., and president of the ACC.

Vatican University to teach exorcism (Go To Top)

London: There is a saying that wherever there is light, there is darkness and wherever there is God, there is Devil. If this is to be believed true, then nothing would be more appropriate than studying exorcism and occult at the seat of Christianity's holiest site, the Vatican. Vatican's Rome University is seeking applications from individuals for its 10-week course on exorcism at the Athenaeum Pontificium Regina Apostolorum. The 10-week course includes sessions in exorcism rites, how to talk to the Devil, the tricks the Devil uses to fight back and signs of the occult hidden in rock music and video games. Students are also supposed to attend classes in psychology so that priests can distinguish between "real cases" of satanic possession and illnesses such as schizophrenia, reports The Telegraph. The recruitment drive for the course also comes amidst growing concerns by the Vatican over a rise in Satanism. Pope Benedict XVI earlier this week praised 180 of the students gathered at a secret location outside Rome, saying, "I encourage you to continue your important ministry in the services of the Church". Pope Benedict XVI further said that their work would be closely supported by the local bishops.
