Britney has not yet had her baby (Go To Top)

     London: Britney Spears has denied rumors that she had delivered her first baby last night prematurely. According to The Sun, the rumours surfaced after she was spotted being rushed to St John's clinic in Santa Monica with her hubby by her side, and her mum Lynne, little sister Jamie Lynn and close family members reportedly waiting outside, anxious for news US radio stations too were claiming she had given birth, with Kevin in the theatre for the emergency delivery, the paper reported.. However, her British publicist flatly denied the rumours. "Britney Spears has not given birth. She's not even in hospital. The baby is due some time in the next month," ratethemusic quoted him, as saying.

Jagger blasts Blair's betrayal over Iraq (Go To Top)

     Washington: Rolling Stones frontman, Sir Mick Jagger, who had earlier taken a veiled swipe at US President George Bush's policies, has now trained his guns on British Prime Minister Tony Blair, blaming him for betraying his countrymen over the need to wage war on Iraq. He says, that while he was ambivalent on the idea of getting rid of Saddam and putting Iraq back on its feet, what shocked him was the fact that Blairs intention to join the war, was something entirely different. "At the time of the Iraq invasion, "I was ambivalent; getting rid of Top of Saddam Hussein was a gift for humanity and I thought that there was a coherent plan to put Iraq back on its feet. (But it) shocked me to know that Blair already knew that the weapons of mass destruction were simply an excuse and that there was nothing planned for the day after (the invasion), " ratethemusic quoted him, as saying. And he also fears that if remedial measures to genuinely address the problems in Iraq are not taken soon, it would be too late for the people of that country. "If we do not take intelligent steps, a part of Iraq will end up becoming an Islamic republic, a puppet of Tehran," he added.

     Washington: Even as the horrors of Hurricane Katrina continue for millions of devastated families till this day, for Latino superstar Jennifer Lopez, it took TV images of a shattered woman clinging on to wrecked pieces of her furniture, to have the full impact of the horror to sink in. She said that the intense loneliness and helplessness that she experienced after watching the dramatic footage, opened her eyes to the harsh realities of the situation, and compelled her to do all she could to help alleviate the sufferings of the survivors. She has since donated cash towards the relief effort, as well appeared in last week's telethon, while urging others to do their utmost for the cause. "There was one of these ladies and all of a sudden she runs to a piece of wood and is, like, 'This is from our bedroom...' "That's... the only thing that you have to hang onto from your life," ratethemusic quoted her, as saying.

Beatles' A Day In The Life polled best British song of all time (Go To Top)

     Washington: The 1967 Beatles track 'A Day In The Life' has been polled the best British song of all time, by a magazine poll. The Q magazine called the song, which featured on the classic Beatles album Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, "the ultimate sonic rendition of what it means to be British". The Kinks' song Waterloo Sunset came second in the poll, ahead of Oasis' Wonderwall,which came in third. In fourth place in the Q poll was the Sex Pistols' controversial hit God Save The Queen followed by Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.

Carmen Electra has a scorpion for a pet (Go To Top)

     London: Sexy actress Carmen Electra has a strange new pet, a scorpion, which she found wandering around her Hollywood Hills home. Instead of abandoning it, Carmen, who wed rocker Dave Navarro two years ago, and still enjoys a steamy sex life with him, has reportedly decided to keep it as a pet, and has christened it as 'Scorpy'. "I captured it and put it in Tupperware and then I felt really bad because I didn't want to kill it," Femalefirst quoted the former Baywatch beauty as saying.

Kirsten Dunst says she's similar to Marie Antoinette (Go To Top)

     London: She maybe in love with Spiderman in reel life, but the woman Kirsten Dunst most relates to in real life, seems to be French queen Marie Antoinette. Dunst, who plays the role of the French queen in the movie directed by Sofia Coppola, says that she saw remarkable similarities between Antoinette and herself while working on the sets of the movie, in as much as the fact, that both of them had a similar childhoods that pitched vulnerable youngsters against scheming adults out to gain at their expense. "The way that I grew up, starting so young, working on movie sets and being with all these older people - I could really relate to having people around you who always want something," Femalefirst quoted her, as saying.
