Flintoff to splurge 1.4 million pounds on Dubai digs
London:
Ashes 2005 hero Andrew Freddie Flintoff has reportedly
decided to spend a whopping 1.4 million pounds on a holiday
home in exotic Dubai. Freddie, 25, wants a pad on Palm Jumeirah,
a plush man-made island where many celebrities have their
homes. "There is great weather in Dubai and loads of cricket,"
The Sun quoted him, as saying. Flintoff, whose cricketing
exploits netted the Ashes for England after 18 years, has
of late used the rewards from the campaign to buy new houses
in England and in the West Indies. That he has been confirmed
as the cricketing world's top all- rounder came out loud and
clear when the ICC named him in the World XI one-day and Test
squads that took on Australia in Melbourne and Sydney this
month, and named him one of the leading cricketers of the
Year.
