Navy sacks three officers

Delhi: The Indian Navy has sacked three officials, all
officers in the department of operations, with immediate effect.
The three officers, Captain Kashyap Kumar, Director of Naval
Operations, along with Commanders Vinod Kumar Jha and Vijendra
Rana were found guilty of "copying, obtaining, retaining and
disclosing classified information". Officials said that the
trio had copied information from the Navy's war room, where
operations of the warships and submarines of the Indian Navy
are conducted. The three were also found guilty of leaking
information on the Navy's requirement for patrol boats, diving
support craft, electronic chart displays and breathing air
compressors. The three officers will however, not face a court
martial.
