Sourav not picked up for the next 3 ODIs
Mohali:
Former cricket skipper Sourav Ganguly will not be able
to play in the next three One Day Internationals (ODIs). BCCI
officials said that they would not change the team for the
next ODIs and bring back Sourav into the squad. The Indian
selectors were to meet here today to announce the team for
the next three ODIs against Sri Lanka, and decide on bringing
back Sourav into the squad. Kiran More, the Chairman of the
selectors said that Sourav had not been selected for the games
because the team did not want to change a winning combination,
adding that not selecting Sourav did not mean the end of the
former skipper's career. Sourav had proved his form and fitness
by scoring a century against North Zone in the Duleep Trophy
tie at Rajkot a few days ago. He was left out of the team
for the first two one-dayers because of his elbow injury.
