Polling deferred in 12 booths in Bihar
Patna:
Polling at twelve booths of Aurai assembly constituency
in Bihar has been deferred to November 13 due to flood, an
official release said. Bihar Election adviser K J Rao took
the decision after making an on the spot survey of the constituency,
it said. Polling was scheduled to take place at these booths
on October 26. The EC has already rescheduled polling in seven
other constituencies, namely Surajgadh, Kharagpur, Sarairanjan,
Dalisingsarai, Samastipur, Kadwa and Barsoi due to security
reasons. Polling in these constituencies will be held on October
29. The first phase of voting had taken place on October 18.
The third and fourth phases will be held on November 13 and
19 respectively. Counting of votes in all the constituencies
will be taken up on November 22, and date before which election
process shall be completed will be November 23.
