Uma Bharti supporters want change of MP CM Gaur

Bhopal/Jabalpur: In a sign of growing dissidence, at least 79 legislators met former Madhya Pradesh chief minister, Uma Bharti, on Sunday, triggering fresh speculation about a leadership change in the state. The meeting holds significance in the wake of reports indicating that Bharti might replace incumbent chief Minister Babulal Gaur after the Bihar polls. Though, the outcome of the meeting which took place at Bharti's residence in Bhopal, was not known, her supporters were clear about their demand in change of guard in the state. The BJP, however, maintained that there were no plans to replace Gaur, who would continue in the post. Senior party leader Venkaiah Naidu refused to comment on the issue, saying that the in-charge of state had already spoken to the central leadership. "I have nothing to say about this. Arun Jaitely, who is in- charge, has spoken to the central leadership about any change in the state's leadership issue. The party's in-charge has already said specifically that nothing will happen," said Naidu to reporters Jabalpur.
