Al Pacino may star in 'Rififi' remake (Go To Top)

     Washington: Al Pacino and Harold Becker may star in a remake of the 1955 hit movie 'Rififi', which is best known for a 32-minute jewellery store robbery that plays without dialogues or musical cues. According to Zap2It quoting Variety magazine, Scott Steindorff's Stone Village Pictures acquired the remake rights to Jules Dassin's French-language thriller, which has been imitated a number of times since its release 50 years ago. In the movie, Pacino will supposedly play a recently freed fraud, who gets out of jail and discovers his wife's infidelity, which consequently prompts him to return to the world of crime again.

P Diddy drops'P' from his name (Go To Top)

     London: Rapper and fashion mogul Sean P.Diddy Combs has decided to remove 'P' from his name and will henceforth, be known as 'Diddy'. Sean has reportedly gone for an image change and wants to be called simply called 'Diddy', which, he believes, would bring him closer to his audiences, thereby boosting his career, since it is much simpler and can easily be remembered by his fans. The P in Diddy was confusing fans and now they:" can just chant Diddy," Femalefirst quoted him as saying. The fashion designer, who had commercial success with his menswear collection which won a coveted award at the fashion world's equivalent of the Oscars in 2004, has recently launched a new womanswear collection designed by hip La Rok designer Jenny Fata.

Goldie Hawn enjoyed an 'alarming' sex with Kurt Russell (Go To Top)

     London: Hollywood star Goldie Hawn was reportedly shocked when her passionate embrace with actor Kurt Russell got interrupted by a team of officers, who were alerted by the silent alarm triggered by the actress. The 'Private Benjamin' star had unknowingly set off a distress signal to the local police station when she jumped on the actor as she gave him the tour of her home. "We went upstairs and we were in the bedroom and it was dark, and that was it," Femalefirst quoted the sexy actress as saying. "We just had the most beautiful love-making experience," she added. The 59-year-old actress felt embarrased to see the officers, while she was still in her lover's arms, enjoying sex. "I was so embarrassed", said Goldie.

Paul Giamatti, Monica Bellucci may star in 'Shoot 'Em Up' (Go To Top)

     Washington: Paul Giamatti and Monica Bellucci are reportedly in talks to star in Clive Owen's upcoming film 'Shoot 'Em Up'. According to Zap2It quoting the Hollywood Reporter, the film, which is scheduled to begin production early next year, shows a baby delivered in the midst of a shootout, and a mysterious man keeping him safe from an army of assassins. Michael Davis writes the script, and Giamatti, whose next project is M. Night Shyamalan's thriller 'Lady in the Water', will play the lead villain in the film.

Gwen Stefani had only two men in her life (Go To Top)

     London: Singer Gwen Stefani has claimed that she had dated only two men till date - one is her husband Gavin Rossdale and the other is her 'No Doubt' bandmate Tony Kanal. "I've only had two boyfriends in my life, you know," femalefirst quoted Stefani as saying to Britain's Bliss magazine. Stefani, however, admitted that she once had a fling with the keyboard player of rock band 'Fishbone', who tried to take advantage of her situation. "I once made out with the keyboard player from 'Fishbone' and he tried to take advantage of the situation, and I was not about to let him," she said.

'The Lord of the Rings' voted UK's all-time favourite book (Go To Top)

     London: JRR Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings' has been voted the all-time favourite book of Britain in a new poll by website www.books.co.uk. According to the Sun, the book beat out competition from George Orwell's '1984' and Harry Potter novels by J K Rowling, which grabbed second and third places respectively.

Sean Diddy's choice of white based on spirituality (Go To Top)

     Washington: US rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs says that he mostly wears white clothes because he thinks that he is a 'Child of God'. "White represents the purity in me... I was an altar boy brought up in a Catholic school and had to wear white a lot. It's God's colour. So I wear white because I'm a child of God," Ratethemusic quoted him as saying. "I'm showing my belief in God. Whenever I watched cowboys and Indians movies I always thought the cowboy in white looked better than the one in black!" he added.

Halle Berry's ex denies cheating on her (Go To Top)

     London: Hollywood beauty Halle Berry divorced her ex-hubby Eric Benet because he cheated on her but the latter still denies charges of infidelity. The R&B crooner was reportedly treated for sex addiction to rescue the relationship. "I'm powerless to stop people thinking bad of me," he was quoted by the Mirror as saying. "I'm not a sex addict. I was just in a very desperate place in my marriage and I wanted to do anything possible to save it," her added. Eric split from the 39-year-old Oscar winner in January after four years of marriage. He denies philandering but does admit having "physical contact that was extremely inappropriate and wrong in a marriage".
