         London: Newly-wedded couples usually opt to spend the first few weeks of their married life away from family and at some romantic place, but pop star Britney Spears and her hubby Kevin Federline are celebrating their honeymoon with Britney's mother Lynne in Kentwood, Louisiana. According to The Sun, the couple recently visited the 'Toxic' star's favourite fast food restaurant, Nyla's Burger Basket, along with Britney's younger sister Jamie Lynn. Britney was dressed up for the occasion in a pink shirt with the words 'I Am The American Dream' emblazoned across the front, and Kevin's cap said 'Rock Out With Your C**k Out'. The trio then tucked the food purchased from the restaurant in the car and went back home, where the 'Everytime' singer was greeted by her family's pet dog.

        London: British actress Keira Knightley has been voted the sexiest movie star of all time in a poll carried out by Empire Magazine.         London: She might have missed out on her education to be the Queen of Pop, but "Material Girl" Madonna is now set her sights on acquiring a degree in literature from the prestigious Oxford University. According to The Sun, Madonna plans to acquire a Bachelor of Arts qualification from Oxford through distance learning. "Madonna was always frustrated about having to sacrifice her education when her music career took off. She is fiercely intelligent and incredibly well read and has always taken a keen interest in literature. She is determined to get a qualification," an insider was quoted as saying. "She sets herself new challenges all the time and the Oxford University course is her latest. It's an illustrious place to study and she was delighted to be accepted and will make the most of the opportunity," the insider added.

Gwyneth Paltrow wants to live in solitude (Go To Top)

         London: Actress Gwyneth Paltrow wants to spend her life in solitude and would prefer to swap her glamorous Hollywood lifestyle for a much simpler one. According to The Daily Mail, in a recent interview to Instyle magazine, the Oscar winning actress who reportedly loves Spain, expressed her desire to get away from the limelight and live a simple and free life in the Spanish countryside. "At this point in my life, I am craving space, air, cleanliness. I want to be able to see sky. I want solitude, and you just don't get that in New York," she was quoted as saying. "The way the Spanish live is really healthy. Everybody eats a clean, Mediterranean diet. They come home from work and have a leisurely lunch with their families, then take a nap. They love each other, they love to dance, drink wine, to be together and sing. They're inspiring, she added. "I come here about four times a year, because it's the farthest from Hollywood you can get. I don't know how it happened, but within a week, I could speak Spanish. They've been my second family ever since, she said.

Chris Martin apologises for beating photographer (Go To Top)

        Washington: `Coldplay' frontman Chris Martin has reportedly offered an apology to the police for kicking photographer Alessandro Copetti almost five months ago. The `Yellow' singer had claimed that Copetti was injured while chasing his taxi, but has now accepted a police caution, and admitted that he attacked Copetti for trying to photograph him along with his wife Gwyneth Paltrow, while they were leaving London's posh restaurant San Lorenzo. "At least he's accepted responsibility. The police said he apologised to them and was very helpful. But he has never apologised to me. He seems to think it is ok to be violent to photographers because he is a celebrity," rate the music quoted Copetti as saying.

JLo's 'Shall We Dance' with Marc Anthony

         Washington: Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez is all set to co-star with her husband Marc Anthony after getting him a small role in upcoming film `Shall We Dance?' The `Maid in Manhattan' secured a surprise cameo for the salsa singer, who dances with his real-life wife in the movie. "Lopez was cast perfectly. Plus, she still has considerable dancing chops," rate the music quoted a source as saying. The movie also stars stalwarts like Susan Sarandon and Richard Gere, but has received lukewarm reviews ahead of its release on October 15. Lopez has previously appeared with her ex-boyfriend Sean P Diddy Combs in the video of `All Around The World', and teamed up with former hubby Chris Judd in the clip for her chart topping hit `Love Don't Cost A Thing'. The curvaceous beauty also co-starred with ex-fiancee Ben Affleck in the 2003 flop flick `Gigli'.

        Sydney: US President George Bush has said that he finds it very difficult to stop his 19-year old twin daughters from drinking because he used to do it himself, and has not set a very good example. Talking on the `Dr.Phil Chat Show,' Bush also admitted that he had withheld information about his drunken driving arrest in 1976 from the public, because he did not want it to affect his daughters, who have been charged with underage drinking, several times. According to news.com, Bush, who called himself an `irresponsible youngster,' revealed that he had quit drinking at the age of 40 after realising that he had acquired a drinking problem. "The parents have got to understand that when they tell their child something, they have to be willing to live it in order for the child to be able to absorb the truth of what the parent is trying to say," the report quoted him as saying. "It's awfully difficult for a parent to tell a child not to drink and drive when the parent drinks and drives," Bush said in the TV interview.

Beyonce Knowles has a hamstring problem (Go To Top)

        Sydney: Fans will have to wait a while longer to see pop diva Beyonce Knowles performing with her recently regrouped band `Destiny's Child,' after the 23-year old singer reportedly tore her right hamstring. According to news.com, Beyonce injured herself while practising for an upcoming television event in which "Destiny's Child" will perform for the first time after getting back together. Insiders have revealed that although the `Crazy in Love' singer is able to walk, she has been asked to take rest and abstain from activities like dancing. While the show has now been postponed, the album, however will be released as scheduled on November 16. "We're all keeping our fingers crossed that, because she's young and healthy, it heals fast. There are a lot of things in place that we may have to shift. Not the album, which is finished, but side appearances. We'll know more after a week," the report quoted an insider as saying.

Rock and Roll's `The Professor' Scott Muni dies at 74 (Go To Top)

        London: Legendary DJ and interviewer Scott Muni who entertained listeners for over half a century during his career on several New York radio stations, passed away on Tuesday night at the age of 74. The cause of his death is still unknown. Muni, who was famous for his interviews with the likes of singers Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Pete Townsend and Bruce Springsteen and his shows "Scott's World of Music' and 'Ticket to Ride,' was popularly known as 'The Professor' or 'Scottso.' Muni is also credited with helping create one of America's first and longest-lasting alternative stations, 'WNEW." The American radio channel 'Q104.3' is launching a weekend-long tribute to Muni by featuring the music of 'The Beatles,' who were Muni's favourite artists.

Catherine Zeta-Jones stalker says she is innocent (Go To Top)

       Washington: Dawnette Knight, who is facing trial on 25 felony counts of allegedly stalking actress Catherine Zeta- Jones' has pleaded innocent at her arraignment. According to E-Online, Knight, who was arrested on June 3, continues to be in jail pending payment of a million dollar bail amount. "She's been in long enough. We all know that she's no threat to anyone. It's real hard to live in L.A. and stalk somebody who lives in Bermuda. So it just doesn't make any sense at all," her lawyer, Herman was quoted as saying in her defence. "I'm afraid that we've gone much too far with something that is greatly overblown. It is my hope that justice will be done, and I'm confident that, in the end, justice will be done to my client, Dawnette Knight," he added.

Sean Connery to quit movies (Go To Top)

        London: Rumours are rife that legendary James Bond actor Sean Connery has reportedly decided to quit in the movie world. According to The Sun, the actor dramatically walked out from a 9.7 million pound role in `Josiah's Cannon' before production even started. Connery was to play a master thief in the movie, who leads a plot to steal cash from a Swiss bank before the Holocaust and his walkout has refuelled reports that he is about to retire from the silver screen. Connery is believed to be disillusioned with the film industry after he reportedly had a clash with the bosses during the making of `The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen'. He now reportedly wishes to pen his memoirs after signing a two million pound book deal this July, the paper said.

Tina Turner to make a come-back with 'All the Best' (Go To Top)

       New York: Tina Turner has reportedly postponed her plans of retirement in Switzerland and is all set to record some new numbers for a retrospective album called 'All the Best." According to Rate the Music, the new album would feature a live version of 'Addicted to Love', Turner's tribute to pal Robert Palmer who died last year and a duet with Italian singer Eros Ramazotti.
