New
York: If you thought that the booze bottles that are
distributed amongst voters in India in a bid to win their
votes was strange, take a look at American campaigners,
who are promising to sleep with voters if they vote for
the Democrat candidate, John Kerry. According to the New
York Daily News, the 'liberal' group of campaigners who
very aptly call their organisation 'F- the Vote' are however
not the only ones who have come up with an innovative idea
to attract voters. Another website called 'Votergasm.com'
hopes to get the non-voting population to vote this year,
by promising them free election night sex, reports the New
York Daily News.

New

the George Bush-bashing brigade. According to The New York
Post, Woody, who recently went to Spain for receiving a
lifetime achievement award at the San Sebastian Film Festival,
took a jibe at Bush and said to the audience, "If you observe
(Bush), it's quite amusing." "If you listen to him as he
speaks, if you follow him closely, it would provide you
a great many laughs. But it's comic moments against a very,
very tragic background," he added.

New
York: President Bush seems to be on an image building
exercise to refurbish his sagging popularity for the upcoming
elections in November by meeting Sister Nirmala of the Missionaries
of Charity at the order's convent in the South Bronx, reports
The New York Daily News. "This smacks of politics. Despite
his photo ops, the President's record has been anything
but compassionate," a Democratic representative was quoted
as saying. Speculators also suggest he may be courting Catholic
voters turned off by John Kerry's pro- choice stand. White
House spokesman Trent Duffy however insisted that the President
simply wanted to "discuss the great work of the Missionaries
of Charity and how they can partner to solve problems like
the AIDS crisis and worldwide hunger and poverty."

skeletons from Bush's 'wine and women' closet (Go

New
York: It seems America's first citizen, President George
Bush was hardly a moral citizen as a youngster, instead,
he was an aimless, inconsiderate and womanising drunkard
who was too lazy to work, often got picked up by the police,
and used his senator grandfather's clout to get away with
everything, reveals an article in the Rolling Stone magazine.
According to the New York Daily News, the author of the
article interviewed Bush's colleagues at the time when he
was campaigning for the Alabama Senate candidate Winton
Blount, and found that Bush would show up for work only
for a few hours, and all he ever did was hang out with his
drinking buddies and date local women. His former co-workers
also divulged that Bush's wild partying ways would often
get him into trouble with the police, but got out away with
everything because his grandfather, Prescott Bush was a
senator at the time. Bush also shirked his National Guard
drills as often as he could. "George had one story he told
a lot ... about how he was always getting picked up by the
police in New Haven during his time at Yale, and how they
would always let him go when they found out his grandfather
was (former Sen.) Prescott Bush. ... I thought it was stunning.
He knew he was bulletproof because of his family," the report
quotes Bush's former colleague Murphy Archibald as saying.

London:
Hollywood director Peter Jackson, who is filming his
version of King Kong, has reportedly hired a plane spotter,
so that the shooting of his movie is not affected by commercial
jets flying over the location in New Zealand. The director
decided to employ an aircraft anorak, to warn the unit of
incoming Boeing 747s and other jets, which would otherwise
be inconsistent with the time frame of the King Kong movie,
that is based on the early 20th century, when jets did not
exist. Jackson's movie, staring Jamie Bell, Jack Black and
Adrien Brody is expected to be ready for release early next
year.
