London:
Kids favourite TV cartoon character, Postman Pat will
soon be seen on the big screen, with Hollywood studio giants
such as 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros in a bid to make
an animated movie on the popular character. According to
the Sun, they also hope to make box office hits out of The
Tweenies and Tales Of The River Bank. Movie bosses believe
the titles could be in the same line as other blockbusters
like Shrek and Shark Tale. "Everyone wants to snap up the
rights of favourite TV characters. With so much bad news
in the world nowadays people want something harmless and
fun for youngsters," an insider was quoted as saying. "Cartoons

Washington:
Movie actress Gwyneth Paltrow and her Coldplay singer
husband Chris Martin are almost ready to move into their
new home in London, but neighbours of the celebrity couple
are saying that their "new abode" is haunted. Gwyneth and
Martin bought the 5.7 million dollar house from Kate Winslet
and Sam Mendes and are currently renovating it before shifting
in. But the neighbours have claimed that the house has a
long history of supernatural activity. "The house was stunning
inside, even before Chris and Gwyneth started work, but
there is an eerie feeling in there. Past occupants had bad
luck in their families and were keen to sell. There were
always rumours of unhappiness," ratethemusic quoted a neighbour
as saying. "Sam and Kate weren't in it for that long, so
maybe they felt the same feelings. Hopefully, now the new
owners have gutted it, the bad omens will have gone and
they will enjoy happier times," he added.

London:
'Shakespeare In Love' beauty Gwyneth Paltrow has revealed
that she will hire a nanny once she goes back to the world
of lights, camera and grease paint. Gwyneth, who is the
wife of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and the mother of
Apple, had previously criticised working mothers who don't
spend enough time with their children. But now the petite
actress has said that she will need a helper to take care
of Apple. "I really love being with Apple. We had a baby
nurse for the first few weeks and she showed me how to bathe
her and get her on a proper schedule," Britain's Red magazine
quoted Gwyneth as saying. "I'm sure if I go back to work,
I'll hire one, so right now I'm just cherishing being with
her while I can. But I'm not some superhero. If I want to
get a massage, I'll ask her daddy to watch her, or we get
a baby-sitter if we want to go out for dinner," she added.
Gwyneth had earlier said, "I might not work for ages. Acting
is a great job, but it's not going to define my life." "There
are certain women in this business who have children and
I just think, 'You must never, never see them.' You can't
do movies back to back and see your child if they go to
school," she added.

Washington:
Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez has revealed that she
is very happy that she has been able to create a niche in
the arena of "singing and dancing" because the same talents
were responsible for her getting fired from one of her first
jobs. The "Waiting For Tonight" singer worked for couple
of firms in New York when she was a teenager, including
assistant positions in a jeans store and a perfume store,
but her insatiable passion for singing and dancing soon
left her out of work. "I kept getting fired! I got fired
from the jeans store because I kept dancing around too much.
It was one of those hip jeans stores where they sold like
Lee's and Levi's and all that kinda stuff," ratethemusic
quoted Lopez as saying. "So they would play good music in
there; young music at the time, like freestyle and stuff
like that. I loved it, so I would sing and dance. The manager
just basically called me over and she was like, 'Look, it's
okay if you bop your head to the music, but you can't be
dancing up and down the aisles.' I was like, 'Am I dancing
up and down the aisles? I'm sorry!' But I couldn't stop
and finally she just fired me. She was like, 'You have to
go," added the pop diva.

London:
British hunk Hugh Grant has refused to portray the character
of a young reporter for 'Vanity Fair' in a new movie called
'How to Lose Friends and Alienate People,' because of bad
blood between him and the original book's author over Liz
Hurley. The 'Notting Hill' actor and the writer of the book,
Toby Young, on whose real life experiences the movie is
based, had reportedly had a fight because Young had published
naked pictured of Liz Hurley in the magazine he was editing
when Grant was dating Hurley back then. "Hugh can't forget
what Toby did to him," Female First quoted an insider as
saying. Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal has now been roped
in to play the lead role in the movie.

London:
Californian Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has revealed
that he does not miss his movie career as a Hollywood action
hero, because he realised a few years back that it was time
to 'move on', and now as the Governor he is still in front
of the cameras all the time. The 57-year old 'Terminator'
said that the number of press conferences and speeches that
he has to make all the time ensure that he is still a public
figure and therefore he does not need to act in movies to
be in the limelight anymore, reports Female First. "I get
my ego satisfaction from the press conferences, appearances
and speeches I have to do now. I'm in front of cameras all
the time, so I don't miss it at all. It's like asking, do
I miss body building? I train every day, but I don't miss
standing up there in those posing trunks, to prove that
I'm the best-built man in the world," the report quoted
him as saying.
