Washington:
A report published by Chicago's Berman Center states
that that adult women who are already in a relationship
are more likely to use sex toys than others. A random sample
of almost 2,600 women aged 18 to 60 were invited to participate
in the survey. According to the survey forty-four percent
said they currently use a sex toy or had done so in the
past. Most current or past sex toy users were in relationships
and said they did not view the devices as a substitute for
a partner. Women had a "neutral-to-positive" outlook on
sex toy use. After controlling for demographic variables,
"current sex toy users, whether or not in a steady healthy
relationship, were significantly more likely to report a
higher level of desire and interest for sex and less pain
during and following intercourse," the report was quoted
as saying . "However, current and former users who were
not in steady healthy relationships were still less satisfied
with their overall sexual life than their counterparts,"
the report added. The main reason cited for current or past
sex toy use is curiosity, according to the report.

London:
Buckingham Palace has recently installed an electrified
fence to prevent any security blunders and provide more
safety to the royal palace. According to The Sun, engineers
spent five hours welding the new fence in place before the
current was switched on. The fence will temporarily disable
an intruder giving police time to move in and make an arrest,
and is one of several security measures being introduced,
including more armed officers and police dog patrols. Electric
fences could now be put around other royal palaces, including
Windsor Castle. "This is part of a radical change in security,"
the report quoted a police source as saying. "In the wake
of 9/11 a 3ft concrete wall was built around Parliament
to stop attacks. There needs to be a serious review of perimeter
security at the Palace," added Ken Wharfe, ex Scotland Yard
Royal Protection Officer.
