Gillette shaves of David Beckham's tattoos

      London: David Beckham has reportedly got two of his tattoos covered for an ad campaign for Gillette. According to The Sun, US bosses of Gillette wanted the soccer star to appear bare chested and clean-cut in the ad, so Beckham agreed to get two designs, of an angel and cherubs from his right shoulder and arm, digitally covered.

Liz Taylor isn't worried about dying (Go To Top)

      New York: Elizabeth Taylor has revealed that she is suffering from congestive heart failure and spine disease scoliosis, but is not afraid of dying. The 'Cleopatra' star, who underwent a major spine surgery last month, says she is ready to meet her "maker". "I'm not worried about dying. I consult with God, my maker. And I don't have a lot of problems to work out. I'm pretty squared anyway," America's W magazine quoted her as saying. The veteran actress revealed that she is in constant pain as the scoliosis has left her body bent, making it almost impossible for her to walk. She also experiences breathing difficulties due to her heart problems. "I was born with scoliosis, but it has finally caught up with me. My body's a real mess. If you look at it in the mirror, it's just completely convex and concave. I've become one of those poor little women who's bent sideways. My X-rays are hysterical. The bone doctors just throw up their hands and say, 'Sorry, there's nothing we can do!' Which is so cheery," she added.

J Lo's `bum' halts Pepsi ad (Go To Top)

      London: Jennifer Lopez's physical assets seem to be causing a lot of trouble it seems, for filming of a new Pepsi commercial had to be halted because her behind was allegedly too big for her outfit. According to Femalefirst, producers of the advert starring Beyonce Knowles and David Beckham were stunned to realise that she couldn't fit into the skin-tight leather costume they had provided her. So shooting had to be stopped while frantic staff stitched an extra piece of material to help cover her bum. "It was quite comical, really. There were all these people ready to get on with the work when we realised there was a problem. Basically, J.Lo's bum was just too curvy for the outfit and we had to make sure the costume fitted her before we could start filming," an insider was quoted as saying .

Is Ioan Gruffud the new James bond? (Go To Top)

     London: Pierce Brosnan may played James Bond for long, but it seems that Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd might soon replace him as the new 007. The Moviehole.net website has quoted a 'top industry source' as saying that Gruffudd who played, Mr. Fantastic in the upcoming Fantastic Four, is deep in talks with EON Productions for the role. "Naturally, others may float into the mix, but at the moment, he's the only guy that EON are seriously considering for the role," an insider was quoted as saying by Moviehole.net.

Angelina Jolie brands Brad Pitt as a `great kisser' (Go To Top)

     London: Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has revealed that Brad Pitt is a great kisser and she loved locking lips with the actor in the movie 'Mr. and Mrs Smith'. "Brad and I play husband and wife so there's some kissing. All I'll say is Brad's a great kisser. He knows what he's doing in that department," Femalefirst quoted the Tomb Raider star as saying. The actress, who has been divorced twice, also said that she was willing to tie the knot if the right man came along. "I think it's wonderful when there's a dad in the house, but I think it's better to have no one than the wrong person. And I don't want to make another mistake. But never say never."

Beatles guitar is up for auction (Go To Top)

     London: A guitar used by Beatles legends George Harrison and John Lennon will be put on auction at Christie's on December 17, in New York. According to the BBC, the Gibson SG guitar is expected to fetch up to 270,000 pounds at the auction. Altogether there are 70 lots of Beatles memorabilia in the sale including a union agreement signed by the Beatles before their legendary performance on the Ed Sullivan show. Other items in the sale include a Jimi Hendrix school yearbook and a biology test completed by Buddy Holly.

Nicole Kidman prefers a book to partying at night (Go To Top)

      London: Aussie actress Nicole Kidman does not apparently believe in the glamorous Hollywood party lifestyle, the actress recently revealed that she loves to be in bed by 9pm with a good book. The actress who is an avid reader often enjoys bed-time chats about books, with her adopted daughter. "My daughter reads a book a week, which is a pretty big thing for a 12-year-old," the actress was quoted by the Daily Express, as saying. "We have our bedrooms all next to each other, and we're all in our beds reading and sometimes calling out to each other. I think that's really sweet. It's part of our family life," she added.
