England's soccer captain, David Beckham has announced
that he is going to retire from international football after
the 2006 world cup and play only at club level as he feels
that it will improve his performance. The 29-year old 'Real
Madrid' star also said that he will continue to play for
as long as he is allowed to, but he realises that in a few
years he will have to start looking to do something other
than being a football player. "I think the 2006 World Cup
in Germany is probably as far as it will go for me as an
England player," the Daily Star quoted him as saying. "I
want to play on for as many years as people want to give
me. But when I start fading and the legs start getting heavy
then I'll look to do something else," he added.

For Uma Thurman, charity begins at home and so she is
donating the yellow shoes she wore in the Kill Bill films
to charity. According to the Mirror, the footwear will be
auctioned off at the Burlesque Ball in aid of Amnesty International.
Jade Jagger and Jemima Khan are expected to attend the event,
which will be held on November 25.

Angelina Jolie surely knows a thing or two about parenting
for she is looking for a man who could be a model father
to her Maddox, the three-year-old Cambodian orphan she adopted

York: Supermodel Naomi Campbell's famous temper was
at work again as a verbal and physical confrontation with
her assistant led to her assistant running out of the room
in tears and being sacked later. According to New York Daily
News, the catwalk queen, who had earlier admitted to physically
assaulting her former assistant, reportedly said something
extremely rude about her assistant to her hairdresser after
which the two had a fight in her apartment. Campbell then
terminated her assistant's services. "Naomi said something
critical about Amie, who heard it and ran out of the room.
She was crying and mumbling something about Naomi under
her breath," the report quoted an insider as saying. "They
then entered into what we'll call a loud and physical confrontation.
Something definitely happened in that apartment," the insider
added.

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton reportedly left Hugh Hefner's
annual Halloween party in a big huff after claiming a party
worker sexually molested her on a walk through a haunted
house. Hilton said that an actor dressed as a ghoul jumped
out and grabbed her inappropriately. An onlooker said that
Hilton shouted for help and demanded to file a complaint
against the mansion. Hefner's aides, however, said that
security told her that having someone jump out of the dark
and grab her was part of the experience, reports Star magazine.
The 'Simple Life' star then huffed off to her limo, screaming
into her cell phone for the driver, leaving her younger
sister, Nicky stranded.

Pop icon Madonna's penchant for the Jewish religion
of Kabalah has proved to be a blessing in disguise for the
Israeli Tourism ministry as she has appeared in a short
film telling people that Israel is a safe place to visit.
'I was a bit hesitant to come here after seeing so many
news reports about terrorist attacks, and reading countless
travel reports about how dangerous it is to be here if you
are an American," This is London quoted her as saying in
the film. 'I realise that is no more dangerous to be here
than it is to be in New York, and I feel very safe and welcome,'
she adds. The short film is being shown at this week's World
Travel Market by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism.
