Pelvic
floor exercises can cure male impotency (Go

London:
Bristol University scientists have discovered that pelvic
floor exercises can help cure male impotency, and the procedure
usually recommended for women, may even boost the performance
of those with healthy sex lives. The study found that muscle-strengthening
exercises helped nearly half of impotent men and at least
40 per cent of them reported having normal sex lives again.
A further third reported a significant improvement. Those
who used to maintain an erection for just 30 seconds said
that they were able to perform five times longer after doing
the exercises. Lead researcher Professor Grace Dorey has
said that men with no erection problems could also benefit
from these exercises. "It was a real surprise. Strengthening
up the muscles not only improved strength but also endurance,"
she was quoted by the Mirror, as saying. Now, the researchers
are urging doctors to recommend pelvic floor exercises straight
away to impotent patients. "When men are going through a
normal sex life, they should be looking to these exercises
to extend their sex life. If you are performing well, this
research would suggest that you may be able to improve your
performance further," she added.

are now being sold for 2,000 pounds by Allerca which has

some of the millions of people allergic to cats to enjoy
the love and companionship of a household pet without suffering
from allergy symptoms," Allerca head Simon Brodie was quoted
as saying. The company hopes to sell 200,000 cats dubbed
Frankenpets over the next year. According to the report,
the felines will be delivered in 2007, with the British
shorthair first on the availability list.
Women
in the hunt for a sportier Adonis (Go

London:
Adonis might stand rejected by women if he comes to
life again for he might not have Jonny Wilkinson's eyes,
David Beckham's hair and Thierry Henry's shapely legs. For
these are some features that women want in their ultimate
sportsman if a new survey is to be believed. According to
The Daily Mail, Lambrini commissioned a survey of 3,250
women between the ages of 18 and 35, and asked them to list
the desired features of their dream sports hunk. Most women
said that the hunk of their desire should have rugby World
Cup hero Wilkinson's piercing eyes and former England captain
Lawrence Dallaglio's monster-sized hands. Arsenal players
Freddie Ljungberg's face, Thierry Henry's legs and England
captain David Beckham's hair were also preferred. Swimmer
Ian Thorpe's well-toned back, the muscle-clad arms of American
tennis hero, Andy Roddick, and fellow player Andre Agassi's
winning smile and the bulky torso of Frederick Michalak
completed the picture. "Women like a successful man and
the amazing performance of Jonny Wilkinson and the rest
of the England rugby team last year has really turned them
on to rugby, Fran Draper, the spokeswoman of Lambrini was
quoted as saying. "David Beckham's style and sex appeal
is undoubted and he has led the way in persuading women
that sportsmen can in fact be very sexy. As for his hair
we're not sure whether the voters liked it long, short or
in an Alice band, but either way it's very popular," he
added.

Sleep

London:
A good night's sleep could turn your work related nightmares
into sweet dreams, a new research has revealed. The study
entitled 'Dream On: Sleep in the 24/7 Society' was commissioned
by Demos and IKEA and it found lack of sleep was the main
reason behind most people behaving irritably at work, especially
the managers. Figures showed that 48 percent of the people
questioned admitted not getting enough sleep and the people
who are most likely to suffer from lack of sleep are the
ones having young children and holding down managerial jobs.
When asked about the effects of lack of sleep, half of managers
admitted that they were irritable and shouted, and were
likely to make mistakes. "On any working day, a quarter
of all managers in Britain are likely to be in a bad mood
because they have not slept well," the Daily Mail quoted
Charles Leadbeater, the author of the study as saying.
Scientologist
Tom Cruise should not host Nobel Prize (Go

London:
Scandinavian religious leaders are outraged by the decision
to chose scientologist Tom Cruise as the co-host for the
2004 Nobel Peace Prize concert in Norway. According to Female
First, Cruise and Oprah Winfrey are to host the event on
December 11 in Oslo, but religious leaders are concerned
that Cruise might use the event to promote the controversial
religion. They are now urging the Nobel Institute to remove
the star. "They're a manipulative sect that takes over people's
lives and finances. Cruise isn't going to be there as a
missionary. But it's difficult to separate the artist Tom
Cruise from Scientology Tom Cruise," Karil-Erik Nylund,
a priest from Stockholm, was quoted as saying. "We're obviously
aware that Tom Cruise is a scientologist, but that's not
why we chose him. We chose him because he's a known person
who is interested in the Nobel Peace Prize and we're proud
that we have him," countered the Nobel Institute director
Geir Lundestad.
