          Washington: Top filmmakers Sofia Coppola and Quentin Tarantino's reported romance is blossoming and they have been sharing a suite at the Carlton Hotel for the Cannes Film Festival. The 'Kill Bill' director is on the esteemed jury panel at the annual French Riviera event and he walked down the red carpet with the 'Lost In Translation' creator at the glitzy festival's opening day. According to imdb, Tarantino has been a singleton for quite some time, while Sofia broke up last year with her husband Spike Jonze.

14000 London eves walk in bras to raise funds for breast cancer (Go To Top)

          London: Fourteen thousand women and one thousand men took part in the annual 26 mile Playtex Moonwalk in London and walked on the street in bras to raise four million pounds for breast cancer charities. The walkers were joined by stars like Nell McAndrew, Anthea Turner, Alex Best, Victoria Wood and Koo Stark, who is also in remission from breast cancer. According to The Sun, the all-night long event started and finished in London's famous Hyde Park. Interestingly, there were customised bras of every shape, size and colour like in the shape of colourful eyes, eggs, beehives and so on. Abba tribute band 'Bjorn Again' also helped to create a carnival atmosphere before the first walkers set off at 11 pm. The 30-year-old McAndrew walked with the girls, dressed in a pink bra made by her boyfriend. "He sewed on all the pink sequins and I glued on the fluff. We all seem to know someone affected by cancer. This is a fantastic way of raising money and awareness," the report quoted McAndrew as saying.

Sozzled stripper in G-string slips past airport security (Go To Top)

          London: A tipsy lap-dancer, Soraya Wilson, 22, sparked an airport terror scare after sneaking aboard an empty jet wearing a G-String. According to The Sun, Soraya sneaked past the security guards and police before scaling a barbed wire fence. The drunken stripper, who was searching for a place to sleep after a bust-up with her boyfriend staggered along the runway before boarding on to the private plane. Soraya was found eight hours later by shocked security staff. She had passed out in the cockpit. Meanwhile, as a probe was launched into the security breach at Aberdeen airport, Soraya admitted, "I had too much to drink and somehow ended up at the airport. I was just trying to find a place to spend the night". "I don't know who was more embarrassed when they found me. The security men because I had managed to break in or me, because I was just wearing my knickers and a little top when I woke up," the report quoted Soraya as saying. Surprisingly, Soraya was let off with just a word of caution. She said, "If I can break into a a major airport, what chance have they got catching terrorists?" "There are gaps in security that have to be addressed," said Nicola Sturgeon, a Scottish National Party member.

          London: A coroner has revealed that British heiress Sita White, 43, may have lost her life after hitting her head when she suddenly collapsed at a yoga class. According to The Sun, Sita, who is the alleged mother of Pakistani cricket star and politician Imran Khan's daughter- Tyrian, was thought to have had a heart attack. However, a coroner's spokesman in Santa Monica, US, said, "She hit her head on the floor." Now, Imran and his British wife Jemima are expected to bring up the twelve-year-old Tyrian.

New Potter movie may scare kids, claims professor (Go To Top)

          New York: The latest Harry Potter movie, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" may not be suitable for children's viewing. According to a Deborah J. Taub, a professor at the Purdue School of Education, viewer discretion should be recommended even for kids who are old enough to read and comprehend the books. Taub says, "The movie is not the book." She was further quoted as saying by Teen Hollywood, "Reasearch has shown that movies are more frightening for children than the books. Besides the added visuals, sounds and a literally larger than life scope, movies also do not allow children the option of shutting the book and coming back later or skipping past a scary sequence."

Sadie slaps whopping 18 mln dollar divorce bill on Jude (Go To Top)

          Washington: It seems Sadie Frost is really cross with Jude Law. She has reportedly slapped an 18-million-dollar divorce bill on the British actor. According to Imdb, she expects Law to pay her nine million dollars cash lump sum and the nine million dollars for the house they shared with their children in a divorce settlement held in a London High court. "Until now they've been arguing on the phone and on occasions have been at each other's throats. Now Jude's got the figures and has been told to consider them. Sadie reckons the five million pound lump sum is just a third of his movie income from the last year in which he's done three films," a source was quoted as saying. "She argues that she's been with him while his career was growing, through the lean years while he built himself up, and she was his rock. She kept the home going and was there for their three kids," the source added.

Lahore, the latest hot spot for Bollywood (Go To Top)

          Lahore: Lahore is fast turning into a hot tourist destination for Mumbaites, an Indian celebrity claims. While youngsters look at it as a cheap vacation, film stars and writers wish to cross the Wagah Border in the near future to explore the city for their professional ends, said the Daily Times on Monday. Top Bollywood star Anil Kapoor reportedly said that he was greatly fascinated by several places in the neighbouring country. "My mother is actually from Lahore and we still have a family home in Peshawar," the paper quoted him as saying. Other reasons for him to visit Lahore, he said, were, "to taste the food and see the city". Travelling to NWFP (North West Frontier Province) and seeing the places where his mother spent her childhood were his main reasons for wanting to visit Pakistan, he said, adding: "I recently saw Khamoosh Pani and loved it. What a beautifully made film." He said that he would love to do a project in Pakistan and was simply waiting for the right offer. "More than anything else, I wish to influence the peace process between Pakistan and India because I believe it is the people themselves who will provide the solution to our conflicts," Anil said.

          Actress-turned producer Pooja Bedi visited Lahore during the recent Indo-Pak cricket series. She said: "I loved coming to Pakistan and the cricket matches were just so much fun." Pooja is currently riding high on the success of her first book "Time Pass". Remembering the warmth with which the Pakistani crowd cheered the Indian cricket team during the recent series, she said: "Everyone in Lahore was just so welcoming and kind that it was almost unbelievable." She said she was already looking forward to making a return trip.
