David Beckham's gloomy birthday (Go To Top)

London: David Beckham's 29th birthday party on May 2 was a far cry from the extravagant celebrations he and his wife Victoria have thrown in the past. According to the Mirror, unlike the lavish 350,000 pounds World Cup party in 2002, bunting and balloons were all that welcomed 30 guests to Beckingham Palace, in Sawbridgeworth, Herts. Most of the guests were dressed casually in tracksuits or jeans and Victoria's family looked gloomy and stony faced. Tennis star Greg Rusedski and his wife Lucy, who warned Posh about her former PA Rebecca Loos, were among the best known guests and were last to leave.

Eric Bana rules himself out of 007 race (Go To Top)

Washington: Australian star Eric Bana has ruled himself out of the rat race to replace Pierce Brosnan as the next James Bond. Bana has been one of the favorites along with fellow Antipodeans- Hugh Jackman and Heath Ledger to play the suave British spy after Brosnan revealed that the Broccoli family is unlikely to renew their working partnership. However, Bana has disclosed that he has not been approached to play the coveted role and would not be interested in the action film franchise if he were. "That's not something I've ever really contemplated - no, I wouldn't be a Bond, no," imdb quoted Bana as saying.

Naomi Watts takes off from Heath Ledger (Go To Top)

Washington: Hollywood star Naomi Watts has reportedly called off her romance with Heath Ledger after being upset with his philandering ways. The '21 Grams' beauty, 35, was deeply embarrassed when, on a recent night out, Ledger openly flirted with rising teen star Scarlett Johansson in front of her, leading to a humiliating argument. Scarlett, 19, was enjoying the company of the 'Monster's Ball' hunk at a Los Angeles nightclub when Naomi discovered them and reportedly dragged him back to their table. According to imdb, The 'Sunday Star' reported that Scarlett simply burst into giggles following the showdown, much to Watts' disgust.

I actually didn't feel his lips: Janet Jackson (Go To Top)

Washington: Pop star Janet Jackson was not at all impressed by the naughty kiss she shared with Jay Leno last week because she could not feel his little lips. The 'Nasty' singer and girlfriend of rap mogul Jermaine Dupri, was persuaded by Leno to share a kiss with him when she appeared on his late-night chat show on Thursday night. The much-married Leno was so thrilled with the brief lip-lock that he exclaimed, "That was great! You're very good at that!" However, Janet has revealed that she was not very impressed by Leno's kissing prowess. "He has little lips! He does. I actually didn't feel his lips. I'm just being honest," ratethemusic quoted her as saying.
