          London: Paul Burrell, Princess Diana's former butler, who made millions from a book that he wrote about her personal life, has fanned another controversy This time, he has shockingly revealed that Princess Diana used to get a kick out of taking him to a red light area and enjoying his discomfort in front of the hookers. "She'd drive me to Paddington Station and round the corner where all the girls worked," Burrell was quoted as saying in The Sun. "Then she'd wind the window down on my side so they'd lean in and chat to me. She'd be wetting herself in the driver's seat, he added." He said he warned her: "We'll get arrested" - but she told him to "chill out".

         London: The success of `Passion of the Christ' which made Mel Gibson one of Hollywood's biggest earners, has now helped him top the list of the world's most powerful celebrities issued by US business magazine, Forbes. "Mel Gibson wasn't even on it last year. But The Passion of the Christ has had a huge intake of money and will probably be a record by the time the residuals come in. Gibson has also received huge coverage, some of it controversial, from his film," BBC quoted Steve Forbes, the editor-in-chief of the magazine was quoted as saying. Gibson has replaced Jennifer Aniston from the numero uno position, who has now dropped to 17th position. The top 10 most powerful celebrities featured in the Forbes list are: Mel Gibson; Tiger Woods; Oprah Winfrey; Tom Cruise; Rolling Stones; J.K. Rowling; Michael Jordan; Bruce Springsteen; Steven Spielberg; Johnny Depp.

          Washington: Superman is ready for take-off after 26 years, or at least the production of the movie is, except for one minor problem, who will step into ex-Superman Christopher Reeve's shoes? According to E Online, while several famous actors, including Nicholes Cage, Jude Law, Josh Hartnet and Ashton Kutcher have shown interest in playing Superman, makers are looking for a lesser known face. Filming for the movie, which will come after a long hiatus, considering the last one was in 1978, will reportedly start early next year. However, Warner Brothers are yet to zero in on the actor who will get to play the man of steel although six actors have been short- listed. The actors, according to the report, include Henry Cavill, the 21-year-old British actor who appeared in "The Count of Monte Cristo," Jared Padalecki of the TV series "Gilmore Girls" and the "Roswell" actor Jason Behr. Brandon Routh, soap actor of "One Life to Live" and Mike Vogel, the 24-year-old star of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" are the other actors who are being auditioned. "Day After Tomorrow" star Jake Gyllenhal is also being considered to play the superhero, the report adds.

          London: After a messy divorce and an even messier fight for the custody of her daughter, Kim Basinger is now looking for a new man in her life. "I don't have a man in my life at this time but who knows? Love would be wonderful, somewhere down the road," the 50-year-old actress said in an interview to The Mirror. Kim reiterated her faith in the institution of marriage and said, "I still believe in the union of marriage." "It's wonderful and I just hope that the partnership is unconditional and trustworthy, and full of humour and grace," she added. Without taking his name Kim said she had forgiven her ex husband Baldwin for everything. She said, "Forgiveness is a hard thing to practice when the person keeps repeatedly doing what he's doing, sometimes you want to go out and kill somebody." "You go through a great deal of pain and angst and everything. I'm a Christian, so I even pray for my enemies," she concluded.

          New York: Rumours are rife that just months after her whimsical marriage to childhood pal Jason Alexander, pop diva Britney Spears is all set to repeat the wedding vows. According to The New York Post, the "Toxic" singer may have agreed to marry dancer boyfriend Kevin Federline after he popped the question last week. Britney, 23, hooked up with Kevin two months back despite the fact that he already has a child with "Moesha" actress Shar Jackson who is now pregnant with his second child. Kevin also accompanied her on her Europe tour where the two were often spotted kissing and cuddling. Kevin reportedly proposed to Britney after he moved in with her following her knee surgery due to which she had to cancel the rest of her Onyx hotel Tour.

           According to The Mirror, she is spending her time and fortune on furnishing her new love nest. The singer has reportedly spent six million pounds on a property that she will share with her current beau Kevin Federline. Located in the Governor's Island in New Hampshire, her new home offers an amazing view of Lake Winnipesaukee and also has a ultra tight security set up. "It's a big move for Britney but she feels the time is right.Despite only being together for three months, she's very serious about Kevin," a close friend of the singer was quoted as saying.

Paul McCartney to give his 3000th live performance (Go To Top)

          Washington: He might have been around for some time now, but ex-Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney continues to remain as popular as ever. This will be proved when he comes out for his 3000th live performance on June 20 in St.Petersburg, Russia. According to the BBC, his shows include the performances that he gave as part of the rock band Beatles and The Quarrymen, which together account for 2,523 of his gigs. According to his managers, Sir Paul gave 140 live shows with the Wings and 325 performances as a solo artist. "I was amazed when people told me I'll do my 3,000th gig on this tour," the veteran singer said in a statement.

Courtney Love gives free peep shows to her neighbours (Go To Top)

          New York: Rock sensation Lenny Kravitz is very happy with his neighbour Courtney Love, who has a fetish for running naked in her apartment building. "Exciting neighbour to have. You open the elevator and she's naked in there. The doorman will say, 'She was naked, running through the lobby," Kravitz was quoted as saying by ratethemusic.com. "It's great, you know? Adds a little excitement to the building. She's a sweetheart. She's got her stuff, but when you sit and just talk with her, there's a very intelligent, beautiful person inside of there," he added.
