Redheads return to rule the ramp (Go
To Top)
London:
Move over Blondes and Brunettes, the modelling world
wants red heads only. After centuries of suffering ridicule,
becoming the victims of evil orthodox practices and having
every clichi in the book attached to the colour of their
hair, red heads have now become the flavour of the season,
as an increasing number of modelling agencies are sending
an SOS asking natural red heads to come forward.
According
to the Independent, modelling agencies now say that an increasing
number of clients want only red heads, in fact the demand
is so high that a high-profile modelling agency lost a lot
of business because they did not have models with red hair.
"A lot of women with red hair don't seem to realise how
beautiful it is. I think they're so used to being on the
wrong end of jokes that they don't think of themselves as
model material," the report quoted said Lesley Middlemiss,
the company director of a modelling agency, Tyne Tee Models,
as saying. "Red is always a colour that's been seen as a
bit anarchic. Now the context seems to be more natural and
pre-Raphaelite," Gavin Boardman, a senior official at the
Storm modelling agency, added.

had not told her about his new found love interest and she
only came to know about the affair when she saw photographs
of them together. Since then the 34-year old has reportedly
done her best to make things difficult for the couple. But
now she says that although she is still hurt, she has involved
herself with a charity and moved on with her life. "Our
divorce petition is still pending in the Italian courts,
I have moved on, but of course I am hurt and it's a difficult
time for us. I am not sure I want to talk about this entire
thing at all. But I do want to say that we should all move
ahead," the report quoted Valentina as saying. "I have learned
a lot about love and devotion in my work for charity. I
am happy where I am right now, promoting fashion and working
with charity causes," she added.

London:
Oscar winner Catherine Zeta Jones has been blamed for
leading her stalker, who was infatuated by Michael Douglas,
to attempt suicide. According to the Daily Star, Dawnette
Knight, 32, who is currently being tried for stalking Zeta
Jones for two years and for nearly causing Jones to have
a nervous breakdown, has been ordered to undergo a psychological
examination, after a defence lawyer revealed that she had
tried to kill herself with an overdose of sleeping pills.
Knight has been charged with one count of stalking and 24
counts of making death threats. "We are going to slice her
up like meat on a bone and feed her to the dogs," she reportedly
wrote to Zeta Jones in a letter. Knight had earlier admitted
to writing the letters and also pologized for the death
threats. She said she had done so because she was obsessed
with Douglas. "Catherine Zeta-Jones has driven Dawnette
Knight to attempt suicide and the real blood is on her hands,"
her lawyer, Richard Herman, was quoted as saying.

London:
Hollywood based Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) studio officials
have not yet said anything as to whether Pierce Brosnan
will continue playing the role of British Secret Service
Agent in the next James Bond venture. President Chris McGurk
said that "casting issues" for the film are yet to be finalised
as Brosnan who had portrayed the character of Bond four
times starting with Golden Eye way back in the year 1995
was no longer interested in playing 007. According to the
BBC, although speculation has been rife that Brosnan is
not interested to play 007, officially there has been no
communication forthcoming from either him or his representatives.
His contract with MGM ended in 2002. "That's it. Bond is
another lifetime. Behind me", Entertainment Weekly's web
site quoted Brosnan as saying. However, MGM and Eon officials
have also not voiced their opinion regarding Brosnan's exclusion
from the latest Bond venture scheduled for release sometime
in 2005. Meanwhile, official James Bond International Fan
Club chairman David Black has announced that unless there
is an official confirmation from either MGM or Eon, he was
not willing to accept that Brosnan was no longer to play
Bond. MGM had after all relied on Brosnan for generating
money from their Bond films. "It's very important to find
someone who will appeal to the ladies but is also respected
by the men. If the men don't like him it won't work," he
was quoted as saying.

Priest
and nun caught for indecent behaviour (Go

London:
A Catholic priest and nun were awarded a suspended six-month
imprisonment with hard labour, after they were caught having
sex in a tinted saloon car parked at Lilongwe International
Airport, Malawi. "It was a bizarre spectacle, the public
alerted airport police after noticing the car shaking in
a funny way," police spokesman Kelvin Maigwa told the BBC.
The pair, when taken to the court, pleaded guilty to the
charge of indecent behaviour in public. The nun told the
magistrate she regretted her brief lapse in judgement, while
the priest said that as a man of God he accepted Satan had
tempted him. The Magistrate though accepted their pleas
in mitigation, but warned them saying that as servants of
God they were the last to be expected to misbehave in public.
"I therefore sentence you to six months imprisonment with
hard labour, but I will suspend it... because you have shown
remorse," he was quoted as saying.
