Crank tries to burn up the Beckhams (Go To Top)

         London: Pop diva and football icon David Beckham's wife Victoria Beckham fled with her two sons after an unnamed man carrying a can of petrol and a crowbar was nabbed on the premises of their Beckingham Palace. According to The Sun, the intruder triggered off the mansion's alarms, after he climbed over the mansion's seven-foot wall, following which he was nabbed by the five guards. Victoria was watching television with her two young sons, five- year old Brooklyn and 22-month old Romeo. David was away in Madrid at a training session for Real Madrid. "Victoria is shaken up. She only had the children with her when the man broke into the grounds. He was ranting and raving about David. He wasn't really making any sense, but the terrifying thing was that he had petrol with him," the report quoted an insider as saying. He was carrying petrol, a crowbar, a chisel, several notes and a powdery white substance, which is believed to be a controlled drug and has been sent to forensic lab for testing. The police have revealed that the 38-year old man has a record of mental illness and now have confirmed that he has been released on bail. Neither Victoria nor David can bear to think what he was planning to do with it. It looks as if he was deliberately targeting the property for whatever reason.

Beckham in police probe over bodyguards antics (Go To Top)

          London: Football ace David Beckham may face a police interrogation after his bodyguard was charged for allegedly attacking a photographer without any provocation. The incident took place in the French Riviera port of Villefranche-sur-Mer, where Beckham was recently holidaying with his family, reports The Mirror. The photographer, Francois Glories, has charged Beckham's bodyguard for assault after he claimed that the minder had attacked him and then thrown him in the water, despite the fact that he had done nothing to provoke the Beckhams and had kept a distance of at least 15 yards from them. The Manchester United midfielder and his pop star wife, Victoria, were also present at the scene of the incident along with their two young sons, but reportedly took no action to stop their bodyguard. Glories has also claimed that the attack destroyed his photography equipment worth 7,000 dollars, which was thrown into the water along with him. Glories is now demanding that he get paid for the damages to his equipment. "I was with three other photographers when this huge bodyguard ran at me. I admit I was there to take pictures, but we were all standing about 15 yards away. We were not hassling them," the report quoted him as saying.

Madonna now sings in Yiddish (Go To Top)

          London: After writing a book, attending all night meetings and changing her name to Esther, pop icon Madonna has finally taken to singing in Yiddish in order to pay tribute to her newly adopted Jewish religion, Kabbalah. According to The Sun, the 46-year old singer recently sang two songs in Yiddish at a party thrown by Kabbalah guru Phillip Berg, which was attended by about 50 other kabbalaists. Following her performance, rumours are rife that the 'Material Girl' singer is also planning to release an album in Yiddish.

Britney's folks give the cold shoulder to Kevin Federline (Go To Top)

          London: Kevin Federline apparently failed to strike a perfect chord with fiancie Britney Spears' parents. According to The Sun, Kevin reportedly turned up in baggy shorts, trainers and a baseball cap for dinner at Britney's LA home and failed to create an impression. Britney's father Jamie is reported to have maintained a good distance from him.

Mariel Hemingway to play Maria Shriver in Arnie biopic (Go To Top)

          Washington: Oscar nominee Mariel Hemingway has reportedly agreed to play the role of Maria Shriver in the biopic on Arnold Schwarzenegger titled "See Arnold Run". According to Zap2it.com, "Air Force One" actor Jurgen Prochnow will star as Schwarzenegger in the movie that will chronicle Schwarzenegger's rise from Austrian bodybuilder to movie star and his run for governor of California last year. Roland Kickinger will play the younger Schwarzenegger. Shooting for the movies is scheduled to begin in San Diego next week. Matt Dorff has written the script and is executive producing it with Gerald W. Abrams, Michael Goldstein and Delia Fine. The movie will be directed by J.B. Rogers of "American Pie 2" fame.

         London: Keira Knightely may the face of Hollywood now, but she has a secret flaw that she has managed to hide effectively. According to The Sun, the "King Arthur" actress has embarrassing spots on her face that she hides with the help of her long locks. "I've got spots but I manage to hide them with my fringe," she revealed recently.

Mission Impossible director quits again (Go To Top)

         Washington: Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise has reportedly been left high and dry after director Joe Carnahan, who had been roped in to direct the third part of the 'Mission Impossible' series, has walked out on the project. According to E Online, Cruise is now looking for a new director frantically as the date of release for the movie has already been pushed back once. The 'Last Samurai' actor is co-producing as well as starring in the movie, which was slated to start getting filmed next month. The ill-fated spy thriller, which will see Cruise return to playing the role of Ethan Hunt, had earlier been dropped by director David Fincher.
