Pierce Brosnan's son checks into rehab clinic (Go To Top)

          Sydney: Hollywood actor Pierce Brosnan's son Christopher has reportedly checked into a rehabilitation clinic. According to The Herald Sun, the 34-year-old Christopher was driven to the 1200 dollars-a-day clinic in southern England last Friday. The 007 star's son was arrested at a London nightclub over suspected mobile phone thefts last Wednesday.

87-year old man to study in Romania University (Go To Top)

          London: Lazar Sadeanu, an 87-year-old man will begin University to pursue a degree in Ecological and Environment Protection. According to Ananova, Sadeanu is interested in the healing properties of lakes and he is ready to burn the midnight oil by studying books after a long gap of 68 years. He will use his pension to finance his study at a university in Romania. Sadeanu is a widower with two daughters, four grandsons and a great grandson. "I would like my student colleagues to call me grandpa, not old man, because I am still in my powers and I would go angry otherwise," the report quoted Sadeanu as saying.

UK gears up for its first porn film festival (Go To Top)

          London: The UK is all set to celebrate its first porn film festival and is inviting people to submit there personal sex tapes for running them at the festival. According to a report in the Ananova, people are being asked to submit their home made sex films for Britain's first erotic film festival. The Xplicit British Film Festival is also offering a contract to the maker of the best amateur film. The event,which is to be held in September, is being sponsored by UK-based adult channel Xplicit 984. "We are so excited about the Xplicit British Film Festival, it represents a milestone in history and demonstrates that sex is no longer a taboo here in the UK.It really is refreshing to see that us normally prudish Brits are finally realising that adult entertainment is not a sin. Sex is mainstream now, its here to stay so let's embrace it!"Xplicit 984 founder Amanda Kiss was quoted as saying.

Inquest into Princess Diana's death might be telecast live on TV (Go To Top)

          London: Public investigation made into Princess Diana's car crash death might now be shown live on TV despite a current ban on cameras in the courtroom. According to a report in the Hello Magazine, great interest shown by the production companies in the UK as well as outside, could be a reason behind this probable telecast. The report adds that though any sort of recording equipment is currently banned, Surrey coroner Michael Burgess, who is conducting the investigation, is "not unreceptive" to having cameras in the courtroom. If the proceedings do make their way on to the tube , it would be the first-ever screening of its kind.

Mel Gibson sues cinema chain over revenues (Go To Top)

          London: Actor-director Mel Gibson is suing Muvico Theatres for revenue from "Passion of the Christ" that he says the cinema chain owes him. According to BBC, Gibson's distribution company Icon Distribution is in court to collect 1 million dollars from the cinema chain. The revenue was based on 55% of the film's box-office receipts. The chain owns 233 screens and was unavailable for comment.

          London: Hollywood diva Sharon Stone has shed her clothes for a photo-shoot in the 'Rolling Stone' magazine. The 46-year old actress is clad in a skimpy bikini in the magazine and has exhibited her curvaceous body to full advantage, that made her a household name following the super successful 1992 film 'Basic Instinct. Sharon's sexy pictures have been published in advance of the new movie 'Catwoman', in which she plays a cosmetics executive obsessed with eternal youth.
