Karachi: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that it could not guarantee visas to non-Pakistani cricket fans who managed to buy tickets for the upcoming cricket series against India. This is in sharp contrast to yesterday's news report in which the country's Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat had promised to arrange visas for all Indian cricket fans who purchased tickets. Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat on Monday had indicated that Indians purchasing tickets for the matches would be entitled to visas.

According to a report in the News, on Tuesday, the day when the PCB began online ticket sales for the series, the Board made it clear on its website for non-Pakistanis that the purchase of tickets online did not mean that a visa would be made available. However, the PCB said that ticket-holders intending to travel to Pakistan must consult with the nearest Pakistan Embassy/ consulate/travel agent regarding visa requirements. It also made it clear that the personal data submitted during purchase of tickets would be shared by the PCB, and could also be passed on to law enforcement authorities for security checks.

The Board website said that an individual could reserve up to ten tickets per match through a credit card. The reserved tickets could be collected from a designated booth at the respective ground during three days before or on the day of the match, the website said, adding that the buyers have been advised to present order confirmations and a copy of ID card while collecting tickets from the booths.

Air Marshal A. Bhagnani of the IAF said the Indian side matched up with the Americans. "This will match up with each other as to be very beneficial to both sides. Rod Stewart's ex-wife Rachel, who grabbed the Ultimo Lingerie contract from his girlfriend, retaliated after Penny accused her of having implants, reports the Sun. She fumed: "I'm shocked at the suggestion that I've had plastic surgery. If my breasts look bigger it's only because I was wearing an Ultimo bra. If anything it shows the bra works." "I'm not doing this for revenge," said the Kiwi supermodel, who's currently divorcing rocker Rod. "It's not a personal vendetta. I'm not a bitch. "I have to make a living. I've always been independent from Rod and earned my own money." The bust-up got even more heated when it emerged Rachel is being paid a lot more than Penny, even though she's older. Eminem to sue Apple for plagiarism! (Go To Top)

Washington: Eminem is suing Apple Computer Inc., after the tech company illicitly used one of his songs in a TV commercial. Em's music publisher, Eight Mile Style, filed the copyright infringement suit against Apple, MTV and parent company Viacom and the TBWA/Chiat/Day advertising agency, reports E Online. Slim Shady's camp accuses Apple of appropriating "Lose Yourself" for a campaign touting its iTunes pay-per-download music software without permission.

According to the suit, the Grammy-winning single was voiced by a 10-year old boy in a commercial that aired on MTV over a three- month span beginning in July 2003. The spot also appeared on Apple's Website. "Eminem has never nationally endorsed any commercial products and...even if he were interested in endorsing a product, any endorsement deal would require a significant amount of money, possibly in excess of 10 million dollars," according to the 15- page legal document filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Detroit.

Eminem is the target of his own copyright claim after a California woman sued the rapper last fall alleging that he illegally sampled a section of music from her late husband's film score for his 1999 debut The Slim Shady LP. In yet another accusation of plagiarism, in April 2002, French jazz artist Jacques Loussier filed a 10 million dollar copyright- infringement suit against Eminem, claiming he stole parts of his tune, "Pulsion," for his violent tirade on the track "Kill You," off 2000's Grammy-winning album The Marshall Mathers LP.

Now showing, a bloody portrait of Diana begging for help! (Go To Top)

Sydney: An uncanny image of Diana, Princess of Wales, with blood pouring from her mouth as she begs her butler Paul Burrell for help is to be the highlight of an exhibition, called New Blood, at London's Saatchi Gallery next month. The portrait of Diana, Princess of Wales, is created by a former stripper, Stella Vine, reports the Daily Telegraph. Vine had never sold any of her work until multi-millionaire art collector Charles Saatchi bought it for 600 pounds two weeks ago. Called 'Hi Paul Can You Come Over', the gallery said the painting represents the paranoia Diana supposedly felt in the last months of her life, before her death in a Paris car crash in 1998. Vine, a 35-year old single mother, was a stripper at the Windmill Club in Soho and still occasionally works in the business to fund her art. "I was on the verge of giving up because I wasn't making any money. I didn't think anyone really liked what I was doing and I literally have the bailiffs at my door. "This is a dark painting with a bit of violence in there. "It has come from imagining what she must have been feeling, all alone in Kensington Palace believing her phones were bugged and seeing Paul Burrell as her only friend", Vine, the artist, was quoted as saying by the report.

I don't know who it is but we've got the police involved and C.I.D are checking the letter with fingerprints and all that stuff", he added. After her infamous busting episode at the Super Bowl gig, the dusky beauty has suddenly quit her starring role in ABC's upcoming Lena Horne biopic. According to a report in Eonline, the Jackson sibling's exit came after Horne voiced serious reservations about having her life story played by Jackson.

A report in 'Daily Variety' further stated that Jackson took a bow after Horne and daughter Gail Lumet Buckley refused to sign a contract giving ABC permission to begin production on the TV movie unless the Alphabet net assured them Jackson would no longer participate. However, ABC reportedly flipped and stood in solidarity with Jackson. But, with Horne so adamant, Jackson herself decided to withdraw on her own. Displaying support, executive producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who were shepherding the project, also departed.

Meanwhile, ABC has confirmed that the project is officially in limbo and is likely to stay that way until another suitable singing-acting star can be found to play Horne, who helped to break Hollywood's racial barrier and became one of its first black stars. After making a name for herself as a torch singer with the likes of Cab Calloway and Duke Ellington in such hot spots as the Cotton Club, Horne made the transition to the big screen. She starred in hit films like Stormy Weather (1943) and Cabin in the Sky (1943).
