Mel Gibson's stalker jailed (Go To Top)

     New York: Hollywood actor-director Mel Gibson's alleged stalker, who has reportedly spent a good amount of time in several mental hospitals has been now ordered to stand trial. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Leland Harris has ruled that there is enough evidence against Zack Sinclair to warrant a trial against him on a felony count of stalking The Passion of the Christ director. According to E Online, Sinclair, who also fancied himself as a pen pal of Gibson's, had been troubling the actor-director since September this year and has been now jailed on 500,000 dollars bail.

Colin Firth says no to Bridget Jones III (Go To Top)

     London: Hollywood hunk Colin Firth has reportedly ruled out his chances of taking part in a third sequel of the hit Bridget Jones' series. The star admitted that the story of the thirty-something singleton played by Renee Zellweger, has nowhere left to go. He confessed that all the others actors are also reluctant to sign up again. "In the abstract, it's unthinkable. I can't think where a sequel would go," Femalefirst quoted Firth as as saying. "The only way where I could possibly imagine (a third film) being interesting is that if it showed us in an advanced state of decrepitude. Really, puncturing the fairy tale completely might be a way to take it," he added.

     London: Rumours are circulating that Liz Hurley has undergone surgery to improve the look of her lips. The stunning actress reportedly arrived at a New York promotional event for Estee Lauder, the make-up brand she has a two million pound contract with, and proudly showed off her predominant pout. Leading plastic surgeon Dr Lucy Glancey believes that the "Bedazzled" star has surgically enhanced her lips. "When Liz first became famous she had rather thin lips. There has been a dramatic transformation," the Daily Mail quoted Glancey as saying. "She has quite obviously had some sort of enhancement and it looks like this has been achieved with a semi-permanent injection or Reastilane, which is similar to collagen but lasts much longer," she added. However a spokesman for Liz refused to comment on whether the actress had undergone any lip enhancement procedures.

Al Pacino to act in 'Witness to the Prosecution' remake (Go To Top)

     Washington: Veteran actor Al Pacino is all set to act on the silver screen again. According to E Online, he might get a role in a remake of the 1957 Billy Wilder courtroom classic "Witness to the Prosecution." The movie is about a wife who is the key witness against her husband during a murder trial. The script for the remake is being written by David E. Kelley.

Mira Nair to direct Gangsta MD (Go To Top)

     Washington: Mira Nair certainly dose not believe in resting on her laurels for she is all set to work on her next project after Vanity Fair. According to E Online, she has signed on to direct Gangsta MD, a remake of a Bollywood film about a low-level gangster who becomes a doctor after his mother threatens to disown him.

It's wedding season for Nicole Kidman (Go To Top)

     Washington: She might be single, but wedding bells are all set to ring for Nicole Kidman, though only in a movie. According to E Online, Paramount Pictures has tapped Nicole Kidman to star in a romantic comedy titled "Wedding Season". The film is about a cynical woman and her boyfriend whose promise to never marry is questioned after the two attend 17 nuptials together. Robert Evans will produce it.

Prince Harry's African getaway with his girlfriend (Go To Top)

     London: Prince Harry is reportedly going on a pre- Christmas holiday with his girlfriend Chelsy Davy, to a secret location in Africa. According to The Sun, the pair will reportedly stay in a timber- framed beach hut on a tiny island off Mozambique where they presumably will go snorkelling and scuba diving. The prince's protection officers are scheduled to arrive next Wednesday to prepare for the visit. "We were quite surprised to hear that we were getting a royal visitor. Our lodge is not exactly four-star luxury," a staff member was quoted as saying.

Juhi Babbar isn't ready to strip (Go To Top)

     Lahore: She is a starlet in the making, but is quite determined and firm about not stripping on screen.We are talking about Juhi Babbar, the daughter of Lok Sabha MP and well known Bollywood actor Raj Babbar. Here in Pakistan to act in a play, Juhi told the Daily Times and other Pakistan media representatives that she doesn't believe in exposing and wouldn't expose throughout her film career. "My reason for performing in only one film is that the 14 films that offered roles to me required some form of nudity. I want perform in a good role, not exhibit my body," she said." There is a trend in Bollywood termed 'glamour' but I call it shamelessness. Actresses in Bollywood, despite claims of not wanting to expose themselves, have often exposed themselves. I have never done it and will never do so." "I am here to perform in a play called 'Ekjute' in the Rafi Peer Theatre festival with my mother Nadira, who founded her own theatre company in 1981," she added.

DiCaprio suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (Go To Top)

     London: Leonardo DiCaprio suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, so much so, that he has to force himself not to step on every chewing gum stain when walking along and fights urges to walk through a doorway several times. However, he tried to fight with it when making his latest movie, 'The Aviator', as his character, Howard Hughes, also suffered from the disorder, helping him make his portrayal more realistic. "I let it all go and never listened to the other voice. I remember my make-up artist and assistant walking me to the set and going, 'Oh God, we're going to need 10 minutes to get him there because he has to walk back and step on that thing, touch the door and walk in and out again," the Daily Mirror quoted him as saying. "I let myself do it because I wanted that to come out. I was trying to be that character but it became really bothersome - and it continued way after the filming. I can talk myself through it, whereas Howard Hughes couldn't do that and people with hard-core OCD can't," he added.
