Albert Einstein accused of stealing his theory (Go To Top)

     London: He might be the man who bought light in our lives or at least in our houses, but the genius, Albert Einstein has now been accused of stealing some of his best ideas from his colleague. According to an American professor Friedwardt Winterburg, he stole his famous theory of Relativity from his fellow scientist David Hilbert's papers, reports The Sun. But over the years it has always been believed that the theory had been Einstein's brainchild and Hilbert was the thief.

Arnie says he is 'cured' of sexual harassment (Go To Top)

     London: California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has confessed that anti-harrassment classes helped him to overcome his problem of 'inappropriate behaviour' towards women. The 'Terminator' who had 16 sexual harassment allegations against him, also admitted that perhaps he was partly to blame, saying that there was 'no smoke without fire,' reports Ananova. "I learned my lesson. I had several harassment lessons and I know now what can be said and what can't be said. Now I would not even tell someone, I like their outfit. It could go south," the report quoted him as saying. Meanwhile his wife, Maria Shriver, had recently revealed that she had to fight a tough battle to keep her marriage alive in the face of all the allegations.

     New York: For Elizabeth Taylor her "bloody body" is a "real mess", as she is afflicted with congestive heart failure, scoliosis and a recently broken back. According to E-Online, in a recent interview to the W magazine, the actress revealed how she had to cope up with her ailing body, referring to it as a "bag of bones". "I've become one of those poor little old women who's bent sideways. I feel so stupid and feeble, that I can't do the work I was meant to do," Taylor was quoted as saying, in the interview. However, the veteran actress insists that despite all her ailments she is not afraid to face death. "Really, I'm not. People must think, 'My God, she's still alive? But there's some resilience in me that makes me keep fighting. It's the damndest thing--I just keep coming back," the 72-year-old added.

     London: Natalie Portman says she would be least offended if she saw stills grabbed from her nude scenes in her new movie Closer on the internet. According to Femalefirst, she plays a stripper in the raunchy film and is more than prepared to see her naked pictures dominate celebrity websites. "Yeah, it'll be nude celebrities dotcom. But that's fine. I'm not scared. I'm brave. I feel like I've got to a point in my life where everything I do is active rather than reactive," she was quoted as saying.

Scarlett Johansson has no qualms about plastic surgery (Go To Top)

     London: Scarlett Johansson has revealed that she won't mind going under the knife to maintain her good looks. "I definitely believe in plastic surgery. I don't want to be an old hag. There's no fun in that," B Magazine quoted the actress as saying. Johansson also revealed that she had to work hard to get in shape for her latest movie Synergy. "My character had to look like she could be a professional tennis player, so I had to take lessons. I'm rotting on the inside, though. I have no muscles, no endurance. All my outdoor activities involve lying in the sun," the Lost In Translation star was quoted by B magazine, as saying.

Zeta Jones might buy sinking Welsh soccer club (Go To Top)

     London: Catherine Zeta-Jones might not need to go far away to watch a match of soccer, for she could soon have her own squad to keep her entertained. According to The Mirror, she plans to buy failing football club Llanelli AFC that stands at the bottom of the Welsh Premier League, for 350,000 pounds. She has even made several visits to the club, which is owned by her uncle Robert Jones. "The fact she's shown an interest is fantastic. But it's very early days. A few potential purchasers have come forward since the club was put up for sale last week. Obviously Catherine and Michael have a lot of cash, so buying Llanelli would be a drop in the ocean for them, but for us it could make all the difference," an insider was quoted as saying.

Truman Capote's first novel up for sale (Go To Top)

     London: A manuscript of Truman Capote's first novel, Summer Crossing, which was never published will go up for auction on Friday in New York at Sotheby's. According to The BBC, Capote is said to have worked on it in the 1940s, but put it aside in 1950. The first draft was found at the bottom of manuscripts and photos by Capote's former house sitter and is expected to sell for between 36,700 52,450 pounds. The manuscript, contained in four notebooks and 90 loose sheets, was left behind when Capote, who died in 1984, abandoned his Brooklyn apartment after the success of 1966's In Cold Blood. The house sitter retrieved the box of manuscripts from the pavement outside the flat. According to Justin Caldwell of Sotheby's, the discovery of Summer Crossing was "a remarkable literary discovery". "It will undoubtedly provide valuable insights into this major writer's formative years as work on the novel occupied Capote both before and after Other Voices, Other Rooms," he said.

     London: 'Harry Potter' actor Maggie Smith, who essays the role of Professor Minerva McGonagall in the Potter series, says that it is a constant struggle for the entire film crew to keep a straight face and not burst out laughing while shooting for the movies. According to her the wild script of the movies always has them in splits. "It's hilarious. You feel such a berk. There's this wonderful first assistant and he'll be saying, 'Now Harry goes down among the dragons.' And you have to hold yourself because if you lose it for a second you're sunk," Female First quoted her as saying.

Usher, Alicia Keys fore runners for Billboard Music Awards (Go To Top)

     New York: R 'n' B crooner Usher and Alicia Keys have earned 13 and 12 nominations respectively for the upcoming Billboard Music Awards. According to Ratethemusic.com, Usher will compete for titles including Artist of The Year, R B/Hip-Hop Artist of The Year and Male Artist of The Year, while Keys is up for Artist of The Year, Female Artist of The Year and Billboard 200 Album of The Year for 'The Diary of Alicia Keys'. The duo ,whose 'My Boo' has been the singles chart topper in America for the past six weeks, are being touted as the fore runners for the awards to be held on the 8 December in Las Vegas, Nevada.

     London: Jordan spell bounding performance stunned the audience at the recording of Westlife's ITV Christmas. According to The Mirror, the model sang a note-perfect version of 'When I Fall In Love' and left the listeners wanting for more. Matt Damon to star in De Niro's `The Sheperd' (Go To Top)

    Washington: Oscar winner Matt Damon is all set to star with acting legend Robert De Niro, in a movie called 'The Sheperd,' which De Niro will also direct. The film, which was originally offered to actor Leonardo De Caprio, revolves around the secret service agent James Wilson (Damon), who starts an agency called 'Shepherd' and through the subsequent 40 years. De Niro will also appear as the older version of Wilson, reports Zap2it. The movie is said to be based on real life CIA agent James Angleton. It will begin shooting in March next year.

     London: Prince Harry who has often been in the news for his wild ways reportedly had sex with his new girlfriend in a toilet. According to The Sun, the Prince and his girlfriend Chelsy Davy stunned pals by vanishing into the toilet for 20 minutes at a nightspot. And when they emerged they looked "like a pair of naughty schoolkids," a source at a club in Cape Town, South Africa, was quoted as saying.

Knee injury delays Prince Harry's joining Sandhurst (Go To Top)

     London: It seems that Prince Harry will have to delay joining the prestigious Sandhurst Royal Military Academy due to a knee injury, according to The Sun. Doctors have declared the Prince unfit for the rigorous training at the academy. Harry is said to have aggravated an old injury during the summer while working as a coach with the Rugby Football Union. Harry will now join the academy in May, four months later than earlier planned. "I want to make sure I am 100 per cent physically prepared so I have decided to wait," the Prince was quoted as saying. "I fully understand and support Prince Harry's decision and look forward to welcoming him in May," Sandhurst CO Major General Andrew Ritchie was quoted as saying.
