Are Jemima Khan and Lady Diana sisters? (Go To Top)

          London: Jemima Khan and the late Princess Diana may have more in common than their multiple relationships and unsuccessful marriage. The Women's weekly magazine New Idea Australia, reportedly created a furore in Britain when it published a story about Jemima and Diana being sisters. According to The Sun, the magazine claimed that Diana's mother had a brief fling with Jemima's father Sir James Goldsmith and Diana was the product of that affair. "Her husband was drinking heavily and was beastly to her. She knew James Goldsmith and the rumour was that they had a brief fling. At that time it's fair to say Goldsmith was a sex maniac," New Idea quoted an unnamed source as saying. However, Diana's friends retaliated strongly to the report and called it 'scandalous', claiming that Diana's mother would have taken the magazine to the court if she had been alive. "It's utter garbage. It beggars belief the rubbish people peddle because Diana is still an icon," Di's friend Vivienne Parry was quoted as saying.

Imran rules out early second marriage (Go To Top)

         Washington: Getting married for a second time isn't something preoccupying the mind of former Pakistan cricket captain-turned-politician Imran Khan. Having divorced British socialite Jemima Goldsmith Khan last month, Imran says it is too early for him to think of getting married again. "Look, I was married for nine years and I need time, the Daily Times quoted him as saying. He said that he had married late the first time and getting married one more time at the age of 52, wasn't something of priority at this point in his life.

          Washington: Despite getting bad reviews from critics, the revamped horror flick, 'Exorcist: The Beginning,' was the top movie this week, grossing a total of 18.1 million dollars since its release. Comedies 'Without a Paddle' and 'The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement,' came in second and third, respectively, with estimated earnings of 13.7 and 13.1 million dollars. Aishwarya may replace Jagger's daughter (Go To Top)

         London: Hollywood actresses and supermodels beware, if you don't look up to the mark, you might just end up getting replaced by the reigning Bollywood queen Aishwarya Rai. This is exactly the message that was given to Sir Mick Jagger's daughter, supermodel Lizzie Jagger recently. According to the Daily Mail, 20-year old Lizzie was warned by the cosmetics giants L Oreal that if she doesn't put on some weight and start looking more healthy, she might be replaced by Rai, as the brand ambassador for their cosmetics line Lancome. Lizzie, who has been the face of the company's fruit-flavoured lip glosses, 'Juicy Tubes,' since the past three years, is getting far too skinny according to the company bosses, which makes her unfit for the image that the company tries to promote. "We've asked her to put some weight on. We think she's taking it on board and doing something about it. We very much hope so as she has been a big success for us," the report quoted a source as saying. Former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai, is being looked at as an option as she was recently signed on as a L Oreal brand ambassador. "If she doesn't listen, though, we will look at bringing someone else in and Aishwarya Rai is one name that has been mentioned as she has recently been signed to the company," the source added.

Russell Crowe turns 'Mike Tyson,' by biting bodyguard's ear (Go To Top)

          London: Oscar winner Russell Crowe recently pulled a 'Mike Tyson', he reportedly bit his bodyguard Mark Carroll's ear, after the two had a drunken scuffle. According to the Daily Mirror, the incident took place on the sets of Crowe's latest movie 'Cinderella Man,' in which he stars as the legendary boxer Jim Braddock. The two were reportedly drinking on the sets of the movie, after which they started to have a fight because Mark told Russell to "go home to his wife and kids." When the fight got really intense, Russell bit the bodyguard's ear. "Something must have annoyed Russell, he and Spud are so close, almost like brothers. And like some siblings, they ended up having a huge row," the report quoted a source as saying. "Russell's a great guy but he didn't take too kindly to being told it was time to go home. He flipped. There was a scuffle then Russell bit Spud. It was incredible," the source added.

          London: 'Harry Potter' creator JK Rowling's recent revelation that Gilderoy, the ultra mean teacher in her 'Harry Potter' series is the only character who is based on a real person, has sparked rumours amongst her fans that the real person might be her ex-husband Jorge Arantes, because there are a lot of similarities between the two. According to the Sun, the rumours are based on the fact that Arantes claims that he wrote a part of the first Potter book, 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone,' as well as Rowling's admission that she knew the person, on whom the teacher Gilderoy Lockhart is based, for two years and that he probably claims that he wrote the books. Rowling, however, denies that Lockhart is based on her ex-husband or even a former boyfriend. "The living model is worse. He was a real shocker. I can say this quite freely because he will never in a million years dream that he is Gilderoy Lockhart," the report quoted her as saying.

A big fat Greek wedding for Jordan and Andre (Go To Top)

          London: Jordan and Peter Andre are reportedly planning to get married. According to The People magazine, the couple is seeking their parents' approval to get engaged in a Greek courtship ritual known as Loyasmeni. They recently visited Andre's parents in Cyprus to seek their blessings. Andre's parents are keen for them to marry as soon as possible. The couple has now to seek the approval of Jordan's mother, who will be meeting the boy's family very soon.

Is George Lucas making three more Star Wars Sequels? (Go To Top)

         Washington: George Lucas is reportedly making three sequels to the original space opera trilogy, "Star Wars". According to the Theforce.net web site, all the employees at Lucas' company Industrial Light And Magic (ILM) have been made to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA). A posting on the site reads: "You didn't hear this from me, but you might be curious as to why everyone at ILM just signed agreements saying that they will not discuss Star Wars episodes 7, 8, or 9. Since they're not being made, why the NDA's? Of course, since when has Lucas been consistent?"

'Imagine' John Lennon on your shoe sole (Go To Top)

        London: Nike is coming up with a shoe that will have Beatles legend John Lennon's signature on the sole of the shoe as well the lyrics of his 1971 peace anthem 'Imagine.' According to the Sun, the shoemakers are going to model the shoe on the shoes that the Beatles wore on the jacket of the LP of their album 'Abbey Road.' Nike is making the shoe after they got a nod from Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono and all the profits from the range will go to charity.

          London: Hollywood actress Sharon Stone who set pulses racing with movies like 'Basic Instinct', feels that she has gone over the hill and is no longer sexy. The 47-year old actress who plays the villainous Laurel Hedare in her latest action flick 'Catwoman', feels that her days of glory are over, with even the sequel to Basic Instinct having been delayed due to numerous reasons "Nobody wants me. I don't get much work because I'm an old bag," the actress was quoted by The Sun as saying. "When I turned 40, I thought that was the coolest thing in the world. Everybody misheard me. They thought I'd said, 'I have leprosy!'" "Doesn't anybody want to pay to see me naked?" she added.

Aguilera trashes Britney's 'trailer trash' ways (Go To Top)

          Washington: In the latest war of words between pop rivals Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears the former has reportedly accused the latter of acting cheap like 'trailer trash'. According to reports Aguilera was horrified by Britney's bad taste when she saw her wedding ring. "I can't believe that girl bought her own engagement ring! I've seen it, up close. It looks like she got it on QVC," Christina was quoted by the American tabloid US Weekly as saying.. "I know Britney. She's not trailer trash, but she sure acts that way," she added.

          London: Film star Benjamin Bratt has reportedly revealed that he broke-up with his ex-girlfriend Julia Roberts because her celebrity status and worldwide fame had made her ego unbearable. According to Ananova, the 'Catwoman' actor, who dated the 'Pretty Woman' for four years until June 2001, said he was horrified by the effect of success in tinsletown and dizzying heights of super stardom on Julia. "With Julia I saw up close what fame really does to a person. It sounds great but it comes with a terrible price. Getting too close to the light is a dangerous thing. But I needed to go through that to appreciate what I have now," said Bratt.
