London:
What do Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Geri Halliwell and
singer Chris Martin have in common? Their near perfect bodies
of course and the fact that they all manage to stay in perfect
shape by following the macrobiotic diet. According to the
Sun, the 'Frozen' singer has been following the diet since
years now, and confesses that not only does it keep her
in great shape, it also helps her feel happy and energetic.
The diet is originally from Japan and involves eating basic
grains and vegetables and keeping away from all sorts fat,
specially animal fat. So the next time you go to a restaurant,
ordering thick brown rice, organic vegetables and lentil
might be good idea. The diet also has the added advantage
of doing wonders for your hair and your skin, unlike other
diets, which usually tend to have an adverse effect on these
body parts. "You need to take vitamin supplements, particularly
B12, to compensate for the lack of animal products. But
it can work wonders. You will feel happier and your skin
and hair will probably improve. However, there are easier
ways to lose weight," the report quoted a nutritionist,
Amanda Ursell, as saying. "I don't really eat food in restaurants
- you can never be sure what's in it, can you," said Madonna.
