White House takes offence at spoof film poking fun at Bush (Go To Top)

          London: A spoof film titled 'America: World Police' made by the South Park team which pokes fun at US President George W Bush has reportedly upset the White House. The Paramount movie has a blonde pink-clad Penelope-style character, who mocks at President Bush's search for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. "Terrorism is not funny," the 'Daily Mirror' quoted an advisor at the White House as saying. The advisor also called for more respect for those fighting to keep America safe from 'terrorists'. The controversial film, which features puppets in sex scenes, has been given an adult rating by US censors. However, Trey Parker, co-creator of the film said, "See it before passing judgement."

Hugh Grant frolicks with Jemima in French Riviera (Go To Top)

          London: Hollywood star Hugh Grant was seen enjoying a romantic holiday with Jemima Goldsmith-Khan, ex-wife of former Pakistani cricket captain Imran Khan, on a beach in the South of France. According to The News of The World, the 'Notting Hill' actor was being very lovey-dovey towards Jemima and he reportedly couldn't keep his hands off her. "A few people have recognised Hugh but he doesn't seem to care. He's more interested in Jemima," revealed an onlooker. "They've been having picnics and Hugh has been swimming while Jemima watches and waves at him. He keeps coming up to her from behind and cuddling her and she snuggles up to him," the onlooker added. "They act like teenagers together. Hugh can't stop showing his affection for her," the report quoted a source as saying.

          New York: It's official now that Latino beauty Jennifer Lopez is not pregnant, as the sexy star was reportedly seen gorging on sushi, a delicacy which is strictly prohibited during pregnancy. According to the New York Daily News, after the scrumptious meal, Lopez partied wildly with husband Marc Anthony and some friends at a Miami night club, where she gyrated to some of her own dance tracks.

Angelina Jolie wants to adopt a second child (Go To Top)

          London: Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie who is also the goodwill ambassador for the United Nation's High Commission for Refugees, has made up her mind to adopt another baby. The 'Tomb Raider' star had earlier adopted a Cambodian boy after splitting up with her second husband Billy Bob Thornton. "Angelina has decided the time is right for another baby," a friend of the star was quoted by the Daily News as saying. "She's been thinking about it for a long time, and she wants the child to be Russian," he added. The philanthropic star decided to adopt another baby after a visit to a Chechen refugee camp last summer. However, Jolie's representatives did not comment upon it.

Madonna may be disillusioned with Kaballah (Go To Top)

          London: It seems that Pop diva Madonna has had enough of Kabbalah. The "Frozen" singer has reportedly become disillusioned with the Jewish religious cult. "She's upset that they've been marketing off of her. She's tired of them constantly coming to the well for money, and she was furious they leaked she was going to Israel. She's over it," a source was quoted as saying. Madonna's husband Guy Ritchie also reportedly had a scuffle with a Kaballah rabbi when the latter interrupted his conversation with Madonna, during a show. However, her representatives deny reports of a fall-out. "There's nothing to lead me to believe anything's changed," they were quoted as saying.

          London: Olympic fans who eagerly switched on to the BBC to catch a glimpse of the sexy sports presenter Sharron Davies' assets, rather than the games, were disappointed when the channel filmed her only from the chest upwards. The ex swimming champion created quite a sensation during the coverage of a swimming event at Athens, by appearing without a bra. "I'd like to think that everybody is tuning in for the BBC's fantastic swimming coverage rather than what I am wearing," Sharron was quoted by The Sun as saying. "BBC websites have been deluged with comments about Sharron's chest. Bosses don't want the debate to overshadow their Olympics coverage. So they tried to calm the furore down by only filming her from the chest upwards," a source added.

         London: Pop star Victoria Beckham might be moving lock stock and barrel to Spain, but rumours are rife that she refuses to have a baby anywhere but in London. According to the Newsoftheworld, the 30-year old former 'Spice Girl,' who already has two sons, five year old Brooklyn and two year old Romeo with husband David Beckham, wants to give birth to her third child at the same hospital were she had her two boys. It was revealed that Victoria is pregnant when she visited a baby doctor in London and has reportedly been looking quite healthy of late. The singer's friends have admitted that the English skipper, David, also agrees that the baby should be born in London's Portland hospital, as the couple are already familiar with the staff there. "It's got to be the Portland Hospital. She feels comfortable with the staff and the security there," the report quoted a friend of the couple's as saying. "Victoria has put on a bit of weight but looks really healthy. She's over the moon. She's had a touch of morning sickness but for the rest of the time she can't stop smiling," the source added.

          London: Music lovers don't seem to be very interested in seeing how pop icon Madonna has 're-invented' herself, after it was reported that almost half of the tickets for her Wembley gig, which is a part of her 'Re-invention' tour, still remain unsold. According to the Mirror, organisers are now selling the tickets at half the price on E bay, but fans are just too disillusioned with the high prices of the tickets, which were originally pegged at 150 pounds, and all the Kabblah hype. "People are put off by the inflated prices and they just see it as a Kabbalah recruitment ground," the report quoted a source as saying.

          Washington: Oscar winning actress Charlize Theron and her boyfriend Stuart Townsend do not believe in the bonds of holy matrimony, on the contrary they think marriage could ruin a good thing. According to the Star magazine, the couple are amused at the frequent media reports about their marriage and think that being in love is more than enough. They also admitted that being a pair made their roles as lovers in their upcoming flick 'Head in the Clouds' easier. "We keep hearing about our marriage. 'Memoirs of a Geisha' to be made into a movie (Go To Top)

          Washington: Arthur Golden's much loved novel, 'Memoirs of a Geisha,' which went on to become an international sensation when it was released in 1997, is finally going to be made into a movie and it boasts of a stellar star cast. According to E Online, the movie promises to be quite a masterpiece as it is being directed by the 'Chicago' director Rob Marshall and he will be aided by Steven Spielberg, who will take on the mantle of producer. The movie, which revolves around a naive Japanese girl who turns into big-city working girl, will star the 'Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon' actress Zhang Ziyi in the lead role and veteran actress Michelle Yeoh as her mentor. It will also star the Oscar nominated 'Last Samurai' actor Ken Watanabe. "This is the first time that I will play the lead in an English-language movie. It will be a big challenge, but the studios, producers and director have shown great confidence in me. I will continue to do my utmost to make this the best role I've ever played," the report quoted Ziyi as saying. "It's a uniquely compelling story rich with characters who take you into a world you have never experienced before, and there is no one better than Rob Marshall to bring all the poetry and artistry of Arthur Golden's novel to movie theaters all over the world," said Spielberg.

          Washington: If Britney's video 'Everytime' raised an outcry, her new video for her latest single 'My Prerogative' is really going to take the cake, the creators of video have revealed. According to Ratethemusic.com, the video will see her breaking traffic rules, gate-crashing a party, driving her car into a pool and then cutting off the straps of her wet dress with a kitchen knife. She will also appear clad in only her undies, stockings, stilettos and a short fur jacket. Insiders have revealed that the video will be her wildest ever and will have a surprise ending.

Johnny Depp dons conservative clothes for 'Neverland' (Go To Top)

          London: Fans will have to wait to see Johnny Depp in modern clothes on-screen because the handsome actor will once again be seen donning clothes of bygone era for his upcoming period film 'Neverland'. According to Hello magazine, 'Neverland', which tells the tale of how Peter Pan creator JM Barrie was inspired to write the children's classic is set in 1904 London and Kate Winslet of 'Titanic' fame is Johnny's co-star in the film. But 'Neverland' is not the end of Johnny's romance with period films. He will be seen as a 17th-century poet in 'The Libertine', Captain Jack in 'Pirates Of The Caribbean 2' and Willy Wonka in 'Charlie And The Chocolate Factory'.
