         London: Singer Beyonce Knowles had a painful moment during her recent shopping trip in New York when her bodyguard, nicknamed Shortie, broke her toe. Shortie reportedly stood on her foot while trying to protect her from a mob of fans. "There were some fans on his tail and he was too busy watching them to see where he was putting his feet. Beyonce let out a shriek and hobbled back to her car, wincing in pain. She looked angry at first, but then she burst out laughing because you would have thought she had been shot by the way he was reacting, " an insider was quoted by MTV as saying. "Beyonce knows that Shortie is there to protect her and she also knows that he will always do his best to be by her side," a friend added.

          London: Rumours are rife that Victoria Beckham might be pregnant with her third child after she was reported as being seen secretly visiting a Harley Street baby expert. According to The Sun, the speculation was further fuelled after she hid herself away in the Madrid home she shares with David Beckham. She has not been seen for weeks and has shunned her regular shopping trips to stay at her home in Spain. "Victoria has been putting on a bit of healthy weight recently and she and David do want another baby. Victoria has no real work commitments at the moment, as she isn't releasing any records. It's the perfect time to have another child. She's been consulting Dr Gillard. Everyone is keeping their fingers crossed that it's good news," a source was quoted as saying. However, Victoria's spokesman has denied the news.

         London: Porn star Jenna Jameson has reportedly claimed that pop diva Britney Spears asked for lesbian sex from her. Jenna revealed to New York DJ Howard Stern that she befriended Britney after a showbiz party but her publicists ended their relationship after the 'Everytime' singer asked her for sex. "She wanted me. We didn't have sex but I'm pretty sure we could have done it. Britney invited me to the opening of her restaurant. But her publicists said they had to keep us apart," the Daily Star' quoted Jenna as saying.

Producer wants 11 mln pounds from the 'The Lord of The Rings' (Go To Top)

          London: 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy might have earned millions worldwide, but makers of the movie reportedly owe 11 million pounds to a movie producer. The producer is said to have sold the movie rights to JRR Tolkien's classic book to Miramax in 1997 on the condition that he would get a percentage of its profits. According to The Sun, Saul Zaentz claims he owes 11 million pounds in overseas profits alone from the first film, "The Fellowship Of The Ring". However, a lawsuit filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court claims that New Line Cinema bought those rights and promised to honour his agreement. Zaentz on the other hand says that New Line failed to declare a whopping 108 million pounds in sales from foreign distributors from the first film.

Britney's alleged stalker wants to wed her (Go To Top)

          Washington: Daniel Lechamp, the Canadian musician who was arrested after he pestered Britney's separated mum and dad, supposedly has a soft corner for her. He has gone to American TV show Celebrity Justice to clear his name over stalking her. He told Celebrity Justice "(I wanted to) introduce myself as a gentlemen to the mama, and say, 'Hey, do you think I'm a nice boy?'" But when Britney's mum, Lynne, pressed charges, he tried to win over her father. "I said to Jamie Spears, 'Tell your wife to drop the charge because I'm homeless." But Britney's dad simply called the police. "(I can offer her) the simple things in life. Maybe we're meant to be together. I haven't really had a relationship with women because I was waiting for the good one," rate the music quoted him as saying.

Paris Hilton reveals the secret behind her bruises (Go To Top)

          Sydney: Hotel heiress Paris Hilton has finally come out with the secret behind the bruises that had sparked off rumours of a violent bust-up with ex-boyfriend Nick Carter, when she turned up at a celebrity event all black and blue and with a cut lip. According to the Daily Telegraph, Paris revealed that the she got the bruises while doing a photo shoot for 'FHM' magazine in which she appears as a boxer. The young celebrity apparently took a few hard knocks from her fellow models. Earlier, tabloids had said that Carter had caused the bruises, after he bashed her up during a drunken fit. However, it has now been confirmed otherwise. "Paris definitely did an FHM cover shoot very recently for the New York office. From what I hear she looked pretty beaten up. We're a violent bunch here at FHM - we don't pay our models, we just bash them," the report quoted John Bastick, the FHM editor as saying.

          London: Music legends, 'The Beatles' have been named the richest rock and roll band of Britain. The four members are together worth 1.5 billion pounds, while Paul McCartney alone is worth 760 million pounds. According to a Q magazine poll, 'The Rolling Stones' are the second richest band with assets worth 515 million pounds, while 'U2' are the third richest band with 420 million pounds. The fourth richest band was 'Pink Floyd' worth 235 million pounds.

          London: Pop diva Britney Spears and music icon Madonna's bonding over religion was back in evidence with Madonna giving a very rare and expensive Jewish text to Britney, as an engagement gift. According to the Sun, the soon to be married 'Toxic' singer has already read the book from cover to cover and says that it is even more profound than the bible. The book called the 'Zohar' or the 'Book of Splendour' costs thousands of pounds and explains the secrets of life, philosophy and numerology. It is believed to have been written in the 12th century in Spain and is the most important religious text of the singer's adopted religion, 'Kabbalah.' "Britney was delighted with the book. She has read it thoroughly and seems completely taken with it. Madonna has always looked out for Britney. When Britney was going through a tough time earlier in the year, Madonna used Kabbalah teachings to help her through," the report quoted a source as saying. "It paints a bigger picture than even the Bible, It's just so interesting to me because I've never read stuff like this before," added Britney.

Madonna is keen on buying a 195 million pound Greek island (Go To Top)

          London: Pop icon Madonna is reportedly keen on buying the Greek island of Skorpios from the 18-year old heiress Athina Roussel. The island is worth 195 million pounds and is spread across a stretch of 3,000 acres. According to Hello magazine, the young millionaire, who is also one of the richest teenagers in the world, wants to distance herself from the island because of it's tragic history. The island contains the graves of her shipping tycoon grandfather, who had bought it in 1962, her mother and uncle. However, she has also put a condition that whoever buys the island should allow her to visit the graves.

Prince William goes 'Dutch' for dinner (Go To Top)

          London: Prince Williams's friends must certainly have been disappointed if they were expecting to get a dinner treat from the young royal, as they had to pay up for their dinner at an American restaurant. According to the Sun, the 22-year old Prince, who is currently holidaying in America, went out for dinner with his friends at a restaurant in Tennessee and ordered steak. He then went dutch on the 300 dollar bill.

Eric Bana is hesitant about being James Bond (Go To Top)

          London: Never mind how much Eric Bana denies it, insiders have revealed that the "Troy" actor has been offered the role of the suave double agent James Bond but is hesitant about taking it up as he can't decide if it will make or break his career. According to the Evening Standard, filmmakers are keen that the Australian hunk, who shot to fame after his performance in last year's hit 'The Hulk,' should replace current James Bond, Pierce Brosnan, but Bana has not accepted as yet. "Eric has been offered the part of James Bond but is currently deciding whether it's something he really wants to sign up to," the report quoted an insider as saying.

Spiderman voted best, Catwoman worst movie of the summer (Go To Top)

          Washington: A new survey by Newsweek.com has revealed that movie buffs have named the Halle Berry starrer 'Catwoman' as the worst movie of the season, with Tobey Maguire's 'Spiderman 2' being voted the best. According to the survey, which saw a total of 65,000 people voting, the best movie of the season were: 1) Spider-Man 2 2) Fahrenheit 9/11 3) Shrek 2, 4) Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azbakan 5) The Bourne Supremacy The worst movies of the summer were: 1)Catwoman 2)Fahrenheit 3)White Chicks 4)The Chronicles OF Riddick 5)Van Helsing.
