Kabbalah leads to spat between Madonna and Guy Ritchie (Go To Top)

London: Pop icon Madonna's obsession with Kabbalah seems to be getting to her husband, British director Guy Ritchie, who reportedly had a fight with the "Like a Virgin" singer after he threatened a Kabbalah priest. According to The Sun, Ritchie was trying to talk to Madonna while she was rehearsing for the Re-Invention tour, but could not get a word in because the couple were repeatedly interrupted by a rabbi. An enraged Ritchie is reported to have grabbed the rabbi by his collar and threatened to break his face if he didn't leave him alone with his wife. "He reared up, the veins were sticking out of his forehead. He grabbed the guy's shirt. He just snarled, 'If you don't back off I'm going to break year face.' It was scary," said an onlooker. Madonna is said to have jumped to the rabbi's defence and screamed at Ritchie, "Don't ****ing embarrass me," after which they both stormed off in a fury. Madonna failed to show up for rehearsals for the rest of the day.

Eric Bana to play the next James Bond  (Go To Top)

         London: The word is out, Australian hunk Eric Bana has been chosen to step into Pierce Brosnan's shoes to play the next James Bond, and he is all set give the suave double agent a younger, modern look. According to the News of the World, the 35-year old actor, who recently won acclaim as Hector in the epic movie "Troy," has beaten the likes of actors Jude Law, Orlando Bloom, Ewan McGregor and Hugh Jackman, who had also been slated as favourites to play the role. Although Bana is still in talks with producers and nothing has been finalised yet, the filmmakers reportedly have their hearts set on the "Incredible Hulk" actor, to star in the next Bond flick, "The Man With the Red Tattoo." The movie will see 007 on a mission to save the world from a killer virus. "Eric is the guy they want but he has a reputation for being demanding. They want to modernise Bond and turn him into a youthful, suave and modern hero to compete with the likes of Spiderman and Keanu in The Matrix," the report quoted an insider as saying.

John Kerry's daughters fight with each other for John Cusack (Go To Top)

           New York: US Presidential candidate John Kerry's daughters Alexandra and Vanessa are reportedly smitten with actor John Cusack. Alexandra, 30, was seen sharing cigarettes and kisses with Cusack on a bench outside '15 Beacon' restaurant in Boston when a jealous Vanessa, 27, came out and tried to steal him away. According to The New York Post, a restaurant staff revealed that Vanessa tried to sit between Alexandra and Cusack but she was rebuffed by her sister. So she sat on the other side of Cusack and chatted with them for few minutes.

Italy is upset with anti-smelly Italian food campaign in London (Go To Top)

          London: Italians are not enamoured with official posters at train stations, which says that their food is smelly. According to The Sun, London Underground stuck up the posters to stop Italian passengers' snacks from upsetting other travellers. The controversial poster shows a fat Italian man sitting in a train surrounded by salami, sausages, hams and garlic, and the slogan reads, "Please don't eat smelly food." However, the anti-smelly food campaign has irked Italy's ambassador to London, Giancarlo Aragona, and he has posted off furious letters to Transport Chiefs and London Mayor, Ken Livingstone. A complaint has even gone to the European Union in Brussels from Gianni Gorreri, boss of the Italian Meat and Salami Association. "We are discussing with solicitors the damage caused to Italy's image. It's unbelievable," the report quoted Gorreri as saying. Meanwhile, London Underground has offered its apology to Italians and have begun tearing down the posters, which cost 100,000 pounds.

Rachel Hunter found in men's loo in California (Go To Top)

          London: Top model Rachel Hunter was reportedly caught in men's loo at a petrol station in Malibu, California. According to The Sun, Hunter clad in a skirt and baggy T-shirt, looked relieved as she left the men's loo and returned to her car to join her ice hockey star boyfriend Sean Avery and a woman friend.

P Diddy buys mansion in New Jersey for 8.95 million dollars (Go To Top)

          New York: Hip-hop star Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs has purchased a 21-room mansion for 8.95 million dollars in Alpine, New Jersey. Diddy's huge mansion has eight bedrooms, 91/2-bath, 17,000- square-foot house on 31/2 secluded acres, a large theatre, an indoor basketball and racquetball court, a full gym with sauna, a pool with a waterfall and separate spa, a wine cellar, a bar with a 700-gallon aquarium, and a six-car garage. According to The New York Post, Diddy will have fellow hip-hop celebrities like Russell Simmons, Mary J. Blige and Lil' Kim as his neighbours. However, not all of Diddy's new neighbors will be happy to have him in their area, as the rap star is famous for his wild all- night parties. "It doesn't matter to me either way, to be honest. But it will be interesting to see if traffic increases, or if he brings any commotion to the neighborhood," The New York Post quoted Frank Rodriguez, an Alpine resident and Diddy's new neighbour, as saying.
